Too damn cutesy, although it is a well done game. You are a little girl, who won a shot on a Game show, for all the money in the world. It's well done, although I prefer "darker" games. Most will like this game however.
Because this is a Japanese text only quiz game, I cannot review it properly. If there are any Japanese-speaking people out there that could possibly give me a little info about this game, then please let me know!
When I see this game, I wish that I could speak Japanese. It's basically a quiz game, which looks very funny because it has some cool animation's and appears to have an extremely humorous story line, but it is too bad that people who don't speak Japanese won't be able to understand it.
At the start of the game, you get to choose from a selection of six different teams. The first character in each team is always a little girl, who appears to be the main character of the game, but the second two characters vary, depending on which team you pick. I don't know whether the team you select makes a difference to the way the game plays, but I doubt it. Once in game, the questions are all multiple choice and you pick your answer by pressing the corresponding button. You are definitely not going to get very far in this game unless you speak the language, or unless you are VERY lucky! If you are using an emulator to play this game, then you could also use save states to get through it too… but that would be cheating! :P
Although I didn't expect them to be very good, the graphics in this game are actually cool. Very nice anime style characters are used and there are some very funny animation's, for when you correctly (or incorrectly) answer a question. There is also a quite long introduction sequence, which also looks hilarious, but once again, if you don't speak Japanese you will not be able to understand it, which is a shame :(
The sound in this game is fairly good too. The sound effects are OK and there is a fair amount of speech used too. The music is not brilliant and may get annoying after a while, but it does fit in with the game well.
I can't really give Murukos Deluxe Quiz a rating (apart from the graphics and sound), but I can say that if you understand what is going on and you like the idea of a quiz game (Its also two player, which might be good fun), then you will have a blast, provided you have a sense of humour!
