I was never a fan of the game. I was more into Black Hawk Down and Joint Ops.

I havent got Virtua Racing here yet, i have the Japan version here but havent sorted out the white/yellow Japan Saturn yet. I do remember playing the PAL version briefly back when it came out, but dont remember why everyone was so down on it. Seemed everyone was always down hard on the Saturn even though it was such a great console and had some awesome games.

Great collection but you really need Quake as it is the best FPS ever, hey even if you dont like FPS, Quake is a marvel on the Saturn.

Oh as for Australia I LOVE INXS Hutchy was the man.

[ Non SNK Handheld Gaming Discussion ]

My first experience with portable fighters was, unfortunately, Mortal Kombat for the Game Boy. Shortly after this I had the pleasure of 'playing' Pit Fighter on the system. I wasn't really into fighting games back then so I gave up on handheld versions, 'cos they were crap.

I remember having another attempt a fair few years later with Super SFII Revival for the GBA. Trying to play it on the original model was near impossible and I'm sure the game was buggy as hell.

I really can't play fighting games with a D-pad; unless I've got a proper arcade stick it's just not happening. The only exception to that rule is the Pocket thumbstick 'cos it really is that fantastic.

The fighting games on the Pocket all range from excellent to fecking awesome. The quality of games on the system is way beyond that of any other console/handheld. It's a shame it was such a short lived system as there were quite a few unreleased games I'd have liked to have seen. World Heroes, KoF R3 and 3rd Mission would have been great, but I think Windjammers Pocket would have made a fantastic addition to the library. Chu Chu Rocket would have been pretty cool too.

Let's just hope that this new Neo Geo Portable has a thumbstick on par with the Pocket's.

Can't wait to see the beast at the upcoming retro-weekend. Just be sure to handcuff it to your wrist. Even when you have to visit the s***hole. If not, i can't guarantee it will there when you return:bob:
LOL :D
Then I'll have to don't eat or drink for 2 days !!!

definitely get Real Bout Special SD, thats one of my favourite fighters on Neo Geo, though i havent been able to play it as much as i would like.
The Daedalus does look very impressive indeed. Considering they're all hand made it's certainly a very professional looking product. I would be interested to see a side-by-side compatibility comparison with the latest funky blue SMVSC2.
oh that looks good, i have the previous SMVSC2 and really like it, the only thing i dont like about the new one is that it's blue haha. The AES is black so i want a black one.. I think i would prefer that it is top-loading, and it's really easy to insert carts into. Some people on NG.com seem to collect all the convertors so maybe one of them will do a review. I'm a little bit suspicious of that convertor since the last one they said it worked 100% and it didnt. They didnt seem to change their sales literature to say about the scaling probs or incompatibility with some games either. Good that you can upgrade with USB so maybe if there are any issues they can fix them.

theres a review here but it's in French
Riko: Can't say I do. Some of the Neo fighters I own have only been played a few times. Single player mode becomes boring pretty fast. Hopefully KOF XIII online multiplayer will work OK. That converter looks great! I hope it will work well for you. I have been tempted to get Zupapa for some time, I saw that there is a kit available for a fair price on arcadeshock.com.
Yes i rarely play fighters in a deep way unless i really get addicted to them. Shame because it means i never learn all the combos and stuff. My fighting style is very much just reaction based. (ie basic).

I havent bought a neo game for a while but i have been after Zupapa for a while . Definitely worth getting if it's for a good price. I am after an AES Blazing Star next, but i dont think i will be able to get that seeing how much it sells for these days :( i mean i would pay a lot for it but not that much! Wow AES prices have really gone up since i got into the scene!
