The King of Fighters 2002 - Game of the Week

After the somewhat controversial KoF 2001, Eolith and SNKP came to an agreement that they needed to take a look on the franchise's own roots, or more precisely on The King of Fighters '98. The so called 'Dream Match' from 1998 is considered by many as the best KoF ever made, with its traditional 3-on-3 system and extremely competitive gameplay. So Eolith took the same formula and brought out their second and last 'Dream Match' KoF in 2002...

Just like KoF '98, 2k2 was very well received among fans from all over the world. Many KoF followers who already wrote off the series since 2k1, suddenly had a glimmer of hope that the series will return to the glory that it once was. Do you think the same way? And while discussing in the traditional GOTW thread, why don't you consider a High Score Challenge as well?
