Oriental Legend 2/ PGM2 needed a battery change? As far as I know the PGM2 doesn't have any batteries.
Great game isn't it?
It's a great game I think. It plays identical to Knights of Valour or it's just my imagination?
Yes there is a CR2032 button type battery in the cart, easily accessible and changeable. When the system starts up it checks on the battery and says pass.
I also received yesterday Atari's Primal Rage. One of my favourite fighting games of all time. Have also the Megadrive version but it sucks.
This was a very dirty board but managed to make it like new after wiping all morning each component with "waterproof demakigiaz wipes". Great cleaning discovery.

Ah didn't know that...it doesn't show thst when my mobo starts up, it merely says "checking ROM".
Yes, the gameplay is almost identical to KOV...which off course is a good thing.

Yours merely says "checking Rom"?
Strange mine says three things including rom and battery.
Don't you see a green "pass" just after Rom?
Maybe different motherboard versions?

Last week also received these games:
Konami's Asterix
Captain Commando
Carrier Airwing
Sega's Alien Storm

Nope, no green "pass" after checking the ROM, the screen goes black and than the IGS logo appears...that's it. The same goes for the KOV3 kit I had (sold it a while ago), the same as my current PGM2.

Edit: Never mind...didn't notice the RAM and Battery check before. Found a guide to changing the battery on Shmups forum.

It's redicoulously easy to change it.
Your Punisher has any battery in it?

cthulhu
Nope, thankfully it's decuicided.

The Punisher...the case is in extremely good condition and the labels and stickers are as good as new.

Definitely one of the best Beat 'em Ups ever.

I picked up a Japanese copy of Sonic 2 which means I now have it from all three regions!

(Two US versions due to the normal release and the "Not for Resale" version.)

I originally was planning on collecting all of the Japanese versions of all Mega Drive Sonic games, but then a while back I found that European version of Sonic 2 and things got a bit more complicated. While "Every 16 bit Sonic Ever" is not a collection I plan on completing soon, I'm still having fun with it. And man is it going to look awesome on display when it's done!

My meager Japanese Sonic collection so far:

Love that cover art!

Nice collection so far mojo Thumbs Up. I just have the Jap versions of Sonic 1 and 2. When I was younger I had the Euro Pal version of Sonic 1 and back then had no idea that it was slower than the NTSC version. It still seemed really fast back then.

I haven't bought anything for some time, however, I did pre-order (years ago!) a copy of th elimited run of Another World that Eric Chahi commissioned for the Atari Jaguar:

VERY few of these were made, so I was very happy to receive this. It's a great addition to the Jag library. It's the Anniversary Edition too, which means you can choose between the updated visuals in the 20th Anniversary version or just use the original 16-bit visuals.

Congrats on adding the awesome KOTR to your collection! My all-time favourite video game. The holy grail of gaming! UndercoverCops and C&D are fantastic too.

Just took a trip to Ann Arbor, Michigan this weekend and while we found the best comic book store I've ever seen, the videogame store we visited was nothing to write home about. I did pick up a copy of Red Asphalt for PS1, which European members know as Rock n' Roll Racing 2. I don't expect it to be as addicting as the original, but it should quench my thirst for 32 bit racing games for a while.

Ninja, I didn't know Another World was getting a Jaguar release. That is an insanely awesome piece for your collection!
