Sinclair Vega Plus

Is anyone planning to get this? I know the ZX was huge in Britain back in the day, and since I have little experience with this system, this would be a good jumping on point.

First look; the systeem looks decent. But what can you expect for 100 pounds?
Is the battery good enough? Is is possible to save at each point? Is the screen large and bright enough? To be honest, I will never buy it because I was never interested in the system due the colours used. But ok, I can understand fans of the original system are interested in this. Can't shake off the Neo Geo X feeling from such projects though.

No disrespect sensi

But this is a genuine product not no Neogeo x bullcrap, I can see were you coming from but this isn't like those devices on a chip nes Megadrive etc . The fact is Sir Clive Sinclair himself is making this product the guy is a absolute genius he designed on a software and hardware level. Most of the older uk programmers learnt on thease machines and the game's liberay boast's over 14,000 games in the uk we classed the Nintendo a toy I only knew one person who had a nes when I was young. I had an Sinclair a amstrad and a Amiga 1200 in all honestly I only had the spectrum for a year before I got my amstrad but I fondly remember it.

Fun fact £100 pound is the same price of the originals launch price but now you get 1,000 games

Also with 50hz/60hz output compatible it would be idea for you yanks as it will work on your crts.

I love it myself and I am involved it has the vas seal of approval Clap

No problem dude.
You seems to know a lot about the matter.
When a veteran like Sinclair is involved (and maybe more experts from the old days), it needs to be celebrated! Good to hear you are liking it a lot.
With all these emulators nowadays, I have become more sceptical about new retro projects.

Once again, no problem.

I'm interested in it this time round. The original Vega was disappointing for me because it obviously wasn't as good as the original Spectrum (lack of keys to play the games with) so there was no point for me.

I like the idea of a handheld Spectrum. If the screen is good quality I am interested.

As a side-note, I don't think Clive Sinclair is making it? but it is approved by him. The original Spectrum designer Rick Dickinson is on board though.

Any interest in a new C64 in desktop or handheld configuration?

Or is this blasphemy in a Speccy thread?
