Arcade games collection
cthulhu
Thanks. Great selection of MVS games...I especially love Waku Waku 7, it's my second most favorite fighting games ever, must buy the MVS version someday (I already own the AES version). Also great taste in arcade game I must say and yes, MVS cartridges are of course counted as arcade games.

Thanks Cthulhu Thumbs Up I love Waku Waku 7. It was one of the first games I bought for the Neo Geo. I actually bought it on AES as well later when I could afford it. I also had the Saturn version but I think I've sold that now.

You guys all have amazing collections. Green Beret and Cthulhu - you could almost start your own arcade!

I have no arcade games/PCBS sadly

Although if you count Neo Geo MVS carts (no cabinet!). I do have Waku Waku 7, Blazing Star, Metal Slug, Neo Geo Cup 98, Puzzle Bobble and Mark Of The Wolves (Full kit)

Thee only arcade games I want are Robotron - Cabinet with the 2 joysticks, Outrun Cabinet, Space Harrier sit-in Cabinet, Afterburner (Stand up), Galaxy Force 2 cabinet, Chase HQ, Double Dragon, Strider, Ghouls N Ghosts, and R-Type. I could probably think of some more but all these were iconic games from my youth. That's more the angle I'm coming from.

Yeah!

PS Where's Priest in this thread?

Thank you Riko!
You do have a very nice selection of MVS games, especially Garou. I love this game, sadly I had to trade my minty AES copy for Cadillacs and Dinosaurs.
You have great arcade collection in mind. I am sure if you ever start collecting pcbs more will enter in your list Smile always it starts with the basic from our youth and then it expands.

Thanks Greenberet Smile I'm in the annoying situation where I have problem with space. I have been thinking of going the supergun route for a while. Just having Strider, G + G and Double Dragon would make me very happy.

MOTW used to be my favourite fighter on Neo Geo but I think I prefer Breakers Rev a bit more these days. I was obsessed for a while though- I just bought every single piece of MOTW merchandise I could find. I even had Japanese MOTW themed phone cards and these huge statues. I've sold most of it now but I kept my MOTW mug collection and a phonecard Smile

I had 2 issues with MOTW:
1. There is slow down and after a combo I couldn't pull a special move.
2. Limited character roaster an some characters are uninteresting in my opinion.
Great game though

Everybody has limited space. You should think a lot and start organizing your room. I am sure you will create some space Wink

I can probably get rid of a cabinet or two - who needs furniture right? I'm keeping the fridge and freezer - for now Smile I'll def give it some thought. It would be nice to have an arcade cabinet.

I don't remember the slow down on MOTW, but yes there shouldn't be any in a fighting game! Special move to end combo would be good but tbh I was an enthusiast but I was pretty shit at it and back then didn't think of things like that.

I loved the gfx, gameplay and the sound/music but I think I wanted bigger character sprites, that was the only thing I would have made better. But it has such amazing animation and I think it had the biggest cart size at the time of it's release so I suppose bigger characters would have either meant a smaller character roster or less animation frames.

MOTW 2 please SNK! - on Neo Geo Smile

Garou has great animation but you have to take a look at Darkstalkers and Marvel Super Heroes. Capcom has less space in the cart but due to better hardware there is a much reacher animation. CPS2 is more advanced than MVS though. No SNK game in my opinion matches those. Not even Art of Fighting 3 and The Last Blades.

Running out of space never stopped me too! But I am having a difficult time to store all these pcbs. I have stopped buying collector's edition for PS4 though. It's a waste of space. I also have a sealed Gears 3 epic edition and a Halo Reach super duper edition, they worth nothing and they only eat my space.

So AES should be included in this collection? If so, one update is coming up.

Green, how many garage boxes do you own for your massive collection Shock

AES is a home system but I consider it arcade because it is the same thing 100%. I like to have it in my list.
I have 3 furniture for all these games and I will post some pics for you later to see Wink

Way to go Green.
Nice to see al these plastic covers and bags to protect them from dust.
I really like the display of all your boards when you still got the room for it.
Only the name plates are missing for setting up a museum. Do you think you have room shortage soon if you keep buying them?

Thank you Sensi!
Plastic covers are for dust and humidity protection. There is no space left in my room though. I could push 1-2 small and 1-2 big pcbs here and there. Or I can always swap some wall selves I have with libraries of IKEA like and get more space and better protection from dust.
