What is Dan Hibiki's fathers name?
Is it properly Go Hibiki or Gou Hibiki? Anyone really know?
I've only ever seen it as Go Hibiki. Just looked it up and apparently the kanji for his name is romanized as Hibiki Gō with the little line over the o which I've definitely seen also written as ou as well. I'm guessing it's a situation where either is correct, but as far as I remember I've only ever seen it as Go Hibiki. For what it's worth, that's definitely the spelling used in the Udon comics.
In English it doesn't really matter I guess, Gō is the same as Gou. It's a way to show that the letter "o" is pronounced as a "long" letter "o", if you know what I mean. In dutch we have something similar, we have "o" and "oo"...the first is a short/dull sounding "o" and the second is a longer sounding "o". So in Japanese there's a small but crucial difference in pronouciation between "o" and "ou"/ "ō".

Edit: the letter o with the little line over it can't be shown in my post, but it looks like this:
My arcade stuff

"ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn! Ia! Ia! Cthulhu fhtagn!"
I think I will just stick with Go for my purposes then.
Silly Capcom had to poke fun at SNK all the time.

DT, I am very curious as to why you wanted to know this.
