Surprised there wasn't a thread for this. What are everyone's thoughts on the game? I've played it for a long while, and can't get into it. But I am able to play people on steam if anyone's interested.
Without love, the truth cannot be seen.
Well, I'd be interested in a Skullgirls port for NGPC. Wasn't it last April Fools' that a pic of such game was shown? I believe the project was actually one of those things that would've turned real were there a genuine demand. Unfortunately, I haven't heard anything about that project since.

Edit: according to the April Fools' article (back in '12!) Skullgirls was also planned for the NGX.
I really like Skullgirls but like most fighters now-a-days I don't have the time to get really good at it. My main team is Painwheel and Valentine.
SG, to me is a pretty niche fighter, with its own style, I mean, yeah, its still getting support, but these days, LZ trying to make ends meet with console players more or less the same for PC players. But its still good, lol.

Also, yeah, that was a April Fools joke for the "Skullgals" game for the NGPC, if it really actually happened. >_>
I've played the demo of it & I didn't like it at all. I can't help, but feel that its almost exactly like MVC 2 in terms of gameplay.

I don't like the artstyle too much since it looks kinda nasty to me. The voice acting is pretty terrible & quite possibly the worst I've heard in any fighting game.
I think it's one of those games with the main selling point of sex appeal.

I wish we had a girl here to give us her take on the series.
It's made by people who are from the fighting game community and was a labor of love for several years. Any sex appeal in the game is simply part of the art style. The main point of the game is to be a tight, MVS2 style fighter and it completely succeeds in that aspect.

Yeah, its been in the works for a while by Alex Ahad (who worked on Scott Pilgrim). But then Lab Zero came in, and Mike Z got involved as well (who is a big tournament player, most famous on MvC2), who worked on the gameplay and balance. Of course my history might be a little off, but that's the gist of it.

Its actually gotten rather popular, with the voice actors regularly interacting with fans in cons and things like that. Skullgirls even had a whole expo to them in California.
Without love, the truth cannot be seen.
Ah, okay. But, kinda hard to ignore the sex appeal factor though, ammirite?
'Skullgirls Encore' is out on the PSN now, and is free for customers of Skullgirls, as the original is now unsupported.
