So i have my AES for a while and i have seen many games arent just like arcade versions who start just the arcade modes but also have a title screen with a menu where you can go to options and some even have survival modes like the last blades games.
But ounce i start any mode to play, may it survival or arcade i cant go back to the title screen unless i reset the console or lose, you can pause but you cant go back.
I'm not playing many games at the moment so my memory is hazy. I think the only way you can go back is to die fast (my usual tactic) or some games have a menu that comes up when you press 'start' and you can select quit game from that. I know some NGDevteam games have that.
If you can go back on the MVS versions there's always the option of a Unibios chip to force it into MVS mode and play those.
The only "unofficial" method I know of, i sonly available if you have the UniBIOS installed.
If you don't have one, then getting up and hitting RESET is your own way, outside of the option being available via an in-game pause screen menu.
However, if you DO have the UniBIOS, you simply press SELECT+START together to bring up the UniBIOS menu and then select "Soft Reset" (or something similarly titled).
Yeah, just like what they said, doing that might be necessary, but you should know playing the survival modes in certain NG fighters in MVS mode (LB 1 and 2, also Garou:MotW) can still be played if you hold all 4 buttons and then press start at the title screen.
The Neo Geo CD/CDZ can go back to the game's main menu be pressing all four buttons at once and then select; substituting start for select takes you to the system's initial load screen--both nice feature. The Saturn and Dreamcast have similar features. That's too bad the AES can't do that.

avgn uploaded a new video about the neo geo cd, i think its just what happened to him while he played at the end
