What celebrities have you ever met?
I've met these celebrities:

One or more of the Temptations (my mother is into Motown. Saw one or more of them at the Tivoli theater in Chattanooga)

One or more of the Supremes (again about my mother. Same place I saw the Temptations)

Jim O' Conner (saw him at the Big Texan Steak Ranch when he was filming for the episode about steaks in "The Secret Life Of..." )

Kent Whitaker (saw him at the First Tennessee Pavilion in Chattanooga. Not too much of a celebrity, except he won one of Emeril Lagasse's barbecue contests)

Alton Brown (saw him at the same place I saw Kent Whitaker when he was doing the "Serve & Protect" program. When I started teaching one of his crew members how to take a picture with a Nintendo 3DS, Alton saw it and said "What the hell is that?", then I said "It's a Nintendo 3DS.", then he said "Yeah.", and we struck a pose.)

Lauren Alaina (saw her at the Costco in Ringgold, GA. I went to the same high school she went to: Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe High School. Scotty McCreery, the one who beat her, is from Garner, NC, where my father's side of the family originated from.)

Tommy Tallarico (saw him at the Memorial Auditorium in Chattanooga, where he performed his Video Games Live concert at.)
I started posting all the celebrities that I've met, but then thought... why am I doing this. I'm not one who gets all excited about meeting celebrities, so as I was going through listing them all I decided to just close the window. My view towards celebrities is no different to my view to meeting Joe down the street.
Let's see, I went to Wrestlemania 18 and at the Axxess event I met Kurt Angle, Triple H, John Bradshaw Layfield, Ron Simmons, and The Godfather. If you don't like wrestling just know that Kurt Angle is an Olympic Gold Medalist, so that's awesome.

At concerts I've met some lesser known bands that not everyone would consider celebrities, but I love them. The entirety of Murder By Death, Matt Pryor (of The Get Up Kids and The New Amsterdams), and Nate Ruess who at the time was the singer of a band called The Format, but now is much more popular as the front man for Fun.

So yeah, not very many but I'm from Ohio so that's to be expected. Like Tenshi I'm not one who would specifically try to go meet someone famous just because they're famous. All of the ones I listed are people who I am a fan of and I have a deep respect for their work.
I met some basketball athletes in my time. I know the mother of my state's Golden Gloves. I've met some porn stars briefly. I'm also a friend of Rudy Chavez, holder of a few video game world records.

At one point my late, wealthy brother-in-law was going to buy us a vacation house next to Jack Nicholson. I'm sure there are a few more, which I can't think of at this time.
I can only think of one, considering I live near London and how crowded the UK is that's quite bad. I've seen a few about but I'm not bold enough or excited enough to go up to them.

The one I did meet was Noel Gallagher, around 1996. Oasis were *huge* in the UK at that time. I was in a guitar shop in London with 2 friends and he was in there with his then girlfriend (Meg Matthews). One of my friends hated Oasis but this day in a display of shallowness he decided to chase Noel down the street, so we followed him. We eventually caught up with Noel just as he was going inside a restaurant called 'The New Age Restaurant' . At this point my friend who always hated Oasis told him how much he loved Oasis + how he had all their albums.

Anyway Noel was a really nice guy and stopped to chat with us for quite a long time. We all said that before that, we thought he was a bit of a twat and fully expected him to tell us to f*ck off. We had nothing to get signed so he signed my friends T-shirts and the back of my backpack. In the end we actually had to leave him as opposed to the other way round. That's how friendly he was! Also we had stopped him just as he was going into the restaurant and after 30 seconds of talking to him his girlfriend walked off and went into the restaurant by herself looking a bit annoyed and sat by the window. So yes, nice guy Thumbs Up

Nice story RiKo. I've got to admit I always thought he was a bit of a tw*t too but that was actually really nice of him to take the time to speak to you and your friends. Pretty funny that your Oasis-hating friend ran after Noel and said he was a big fan and had all the albums! LOL

I met Rio (Tina Yuzuki) a few times this year which was a dream come true. In April I went to the final two Ebisu Muscats concerts at Maihama Amphitheater. It was an amazing experience attending the concerts. It's really sad that the group disbanded. You got to meet all the members at the end of each concert if you spent at least 7000 Yen on merchandise. I met them all three times. It was a great honour to meet Rio, Aino Kishi, Akiho Yoshizawa, Asami Ogawa, Jessica Kizaki, Minori Hatsune, Rina Rukawa, Shou Nishino, Sora Aoi, Yuma Asami and all the other members. I held each of the girls' hands briefly and thanked them. They spoke quite a bit to me especially Shou Nishino.

In June I went to two IdeaPocket promotional events in Osaka and Tokyo for a dvd starring Rio and Aino Kishi. At each event I got to spend some time talking to Rio-chi and Kishi-chan separately, had my photo taken with them together and separately, got a signed dvd cover and 4 photos and finally had 1 minute to take some photos of them. Afterwards some other fans and me waited outside to say goodbye to Rio-chi and Kishi-chan and they waved at us for quite a while before leaving.

A few of the photos I took:

Maybe everyone thinks that! Grin I've also heard good things about his brother which you wouldn't expect. One of my friends claims he got intimidated by and forced off the path by Tim Henman in Hyde Park a couple of years ago. It's people like him you have to watch out for Wink

It was amazing you got to meet your idol Merlin, great pics, and the ones of you with Rio and Kishi were great too Thumbs Up I just want to get to Japan..... to meet beautiful women as well..... well even better!

Thanks RiKo! It was an amazing experience meeting her. I really hope you will also get the chance to visit Japan one day.
You know... I've been thinking about it. If there was someone that I could meet and be excited about meeting them it would probably be Ben Heck.
