What are some good 90's anime?
marktheshark
I'm thinking about watching:

Rurouni Kenshin
Vision of Escaflowne
Cardcaptor Sakura (Lol, but seriously, I heard it's pretty great.)
Berserk

Any good 90's anime similar to these four?

Both movies and TV series are fine by me. OVA's also work.

Ghost in the Shell, Ninja Scroll, and Princess Mononoke if you haven't already seen them.

I didn't watch a single anime series until Full Metal Alchemist because back in the 90's/early 00's when you had to physically buy everything it was just way too expensive.

Princess Mononoke is one of my favorites. So is Grave of the Fireflies.

Not 90's but must see anime are:
- Akira (1988, best Anime ever and a classic).
- Devilman (1987, my favorite Anime ever along with part 2).
- Grave of the Fireflies (1988...extremely depressing)
- Hokuto No Ken (1986...best post apocalyptic Anime ever, a true classic!)

90's:
- Devilman: the Demon Bird.
- Ghost in the Shell.
- Berserk.
- Bastard!!
- Neon Genesis Evangelion (shocked that it's not mentioned here).
- Trigun (again shocked that it's not mentioned).
- Mononoke Hime.
- Lost Universe.
- The Slayers.
- Slayers Next.
- Slayers Try.
- Any Slayers OVA or movie.
- Serial Experiments: Lain.
- Vampire Hunter (based on the Capcom game...not great, but quite entertaining).
- Blue Seed.
- Doomed Megalopolis.
- Wicked City.
- Demon City Shinjuku.
My arcade stuff

Bubblegum Crisis, Akira, Perfect Blue, Ninja Scroll, Fist of the North Star,Macross Plus, Golgo 13, Tekkaman Blade, Megazone 23, Cowboy Bebop, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Berserk, Magic Knight Rayearth, Galaxy Express 999, Space Adventure Cobra, or any Hayao Miyazak film. I could go on and on lol

There is far less anime that is exciting to me today, with Moe being so dominant, but there are still good series and films coming out of japan despite the current trend/popularity of Moe.

Ah yes, Gunsmith Cats and Battle Angel Alita. That also brings to mind Dirty Pair/Dirty Pair Flash and the Crusher Joe series of OVAs were also great.

The late 80's/ early 90's had some great anime.
