Steam and controllers
I am entertaining the thought of installing Steam to my Macintosh computers, since I have no current gen console (I'm primarily a retro gamer, mind you Pfft).

Anyway, my concern is no where on the Steam site do they mention controllers (at least that I saw), as if they are dancing around the issue. Do they expect us to use the mouse and keyboard like barbarians?? They don't make official controllers for their service/software, so I take it we're supposed to use Xbox 360 pads as a go-around? By the way, if you own a Xbox 360 pad, you probably have have a 360, so why in the heck are you using Steam to access games you already have access to? In principle this concept of using an unofficial pad is off-putting (Why don't they just make one or at least offer a recommendation, instead of leaving it unofficial?). Onlive is a smaller cloud gaming service, but at least they take the extra step of making their own controllers: http://www.onlive...controller (pricey though)

Just wondering if others (Mac or PC) can share their experiences.
