Activision classics on Atari
Activision didn't always suck as much as they do today. Back in the days of Atari, Activision was the king of third party developers, much like Capcom and Konami were the kings of third party developers on the NES and SNES. During the golden age of video games, they created classics like Pitfall, Freeway, Stampede, River Raid, Barnstorming, Kaboom!, Skiing, Keystone Kapers and Megamania. Yesterday I bought Activision Hits Remixed for the PSP as a digital download via PSN, and rather enjoy it. And those unlockable TV commercials are great. I especially love the Freeway one (there's something about that dork sitting in a barn playing the game in front of a bunch of chickens that amuses me) and the one for Skiing. One particular game I don't care for is Laser Blast, because it's so damn frustrating.
