Running AES games on a Framemeister.
I've recently bought a XRGB-mini Framemeister (gotta love those Japanese and their wacky names) so I could finally play my retro games on my Plasma tv without looking crappy.
After an evening of tweaking all the settings, I finally got the picture the way I wanted it.
The results of RBGD 2 and Twinkle Star Sprites running on a Japanese AES at 720p and 60Hz with scanlines on a Panasonic TX-P42S20E plasma tv:

Good stuff, as I said on the NGFL Facebook page, thanks for posting the pics. Definitely interesting to see, but I don't think I could afford to spend that much right now. Smile

Thanks (again). I know it's quite expensive, but I have a small fortune of retro games lying around and it seemed justified to spend this amount to be able to play them the way I want them to look. This Framemeister is also easier to use then it's bigger brother, doesn't have as many inputs and outputs and settings, but this machine is made especially for retro gamers like me. For me it was also quite a big gamble because I really didn't know what to expect and I'm really not an expert on hardware like all turned out quite fine as you can see.

It did indeed, looks great from what I can see! Smile

I agree, if you have a lot of old consoles and want to be able to play them on an LCD etc, this is definitely well worth it. For the older consoles I have, I've now got them in a spare room on an old CRT, so it's not so essential for me I guess. If I had the cash I would be tempted though! Grin

very nice Cthulhu, i still dont even have an HD TV so my retro games all look good, + suprisingly my 360 looks pretty good too on it, although there is a problem reading some of the text in the early games when they made it really small. Would definitely want something like this when i do upgrade though. Thumbs Up
Mini-Reviews of films I have just watched :

Chtulhu: Looking great. With this solution, does the games run without slowdowns?

Used with the kind permission from their creator "Shiny"
Nope, no noticable slowdowns. At least I didn't notice anything, but then again I'm not a professional Fighting Games player. It's an extremely fast little pice of hardware.
I did have to crank up the contrast quite a bit compared to a Megadrive using the same setup.

All good then Thumbs Up

I recieved my framemeister about a week ago or so. I am still waiting to plug it in. Will be getting my system upgraded now and donīt want to play my minty nib system.

I had a friend make me a customcable din-din so the aes plugs directly into the framemeisters mini din contact.
