NEO-GEO man
Brilliant Smile Thanks Gemant!!

NEO-GEO man
There is a couple mistakes on there though if you take the game cover's size count,

NAM 1975 is 46 Mega, Magician Lord is 46 Mega, Riding Hero is 46 Mega, the Super Spy is 55 Mega, Robo Army is 45 Mega, Last Resort is 45 Mega, Samurai Shodown is 118 Mega, and that was as far as i got. Wink

Yeah but Gemant's list is much nicer.

Shiny
But wrong.

NEO-GEO man
Im sure he will correct the errors, it is still in the correct order and much better looking, that one you posted is abit untidy.

Shiny
In what Universe is non-alphabetical the correct order for a reference list?

RiKo
agreed - not great for reference but I do like that the list is in release order (I presume it is anyway) because it's quite interesting seeing when certain games came out in relation to others. needs a few buttons to sort it in different ways really to make us all happy. It is a nice looking list though, fix those errors Gemant Thumbs Up

Is there a list anywhere that tells you how many buttons each game uses?

Shiny
Not that I'm aware of. Got a broken stick?

Gemant
Eheheheh.

No errors in this list. This is the first list about NG games with real Megabit counts in neo geo games. The megabit count on neo geo box are often mistake.

Is no alphabetical order but in order of release date.

To know the real megabit count in NG games you must dezipped roms. Unzipped it, and then you can see the real megabit counts.

Metal Slug, for exemple, not have 193 MB but 210! I know that MB on the box are officially from SNK, but are for half wrong.

Only got three buttons wired up on my cab was wondering if it was worth wiring up the forth as i haven't got a game that uses all 4 buttons yet.

i didnt know that, apologies Gemant, impressive you actually worked out the MB totals yourself. A little stupid of SNK to write a lower MEG total on some games given that was one of the selling points at the time...

This one, cause Gemant's list is in the CORRECT release order, which is how it should be.

Gemant, thanks for clearing up the meg count issue, i was actually pretty sure you would have a reason for that. Wink

Shiny
Whatever you say NEO-GEO man.

NEO-GEO man
Gemant brings quite abit of useful info to this forum, and i appreciate his input and the time he has clearly taken to do so.

cthulhu
As a list of releases it's nice, but for it to work better, I personally think it should have been alphabetical and not ordered on release date.

???

Not quite what Shiny meant...
My arcade stuff

"ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn! Ia! Ia! Cthulhu fhtagn!"

I think you made a great job of the list Gemant. Very well presented. Doesn't bother me that it's not in alphabetical order. The master list at NG.com is in alphabetical order so it's a good idea to order things by release date instead.

This might sound a bit pedantic but I think it would be a nice idea to add the titles in Hangul for Fight Fever and The Eye of Typhoon since they are Korean.

Depends on whether you want to play fighting games. If you do then it's essential to wire up that 4th button.
