Digital Vs Analog, photographic proof...
Here are a couple pics i took to show you the difference between CRT and a digital... Same scene, same screen, and same camera....

The digital first... 1920x1080 res fed with HDMI, manufacturer claims contrast ratio of 50,000:1

The CRT... still 1920x1080 res but fed from either HDMI or RGB-HV ( cant really tell a difference on the CRT ) , and a claimed contrast ratio of only 20,000:1...

And no, i havent got the pictures around the wrong way!! Analog really is that much better.
I haven't got this problem with movies, but older consoles (even the PS2) give quite a crappy picture on my Plasma screen. I'm really thinking of getting an upscaler like the Micomsoft's XRGB and a scanline generator like the SLG3000. The only problem I have is that neither of my consoles have a VGA port which seem to be nessecary to use these convertors.
My arcade stuff

RGB come out of almost every console, which is the same as what you get out of the VGA socket, although you may need a sync stripper or separator. Depends on the console.
