Trying to find info on an arcade cab... can you help?
DarakuTenshi
I've got very little information to go by but here we go.

I remember playing on this arcade cab back in the day that was very large. It was a huge white cabinet that had a built-in bench for the two players to sit at. It was (I'm assuming) mainly for the new arrivals that would be modified for the big money makers. I'm not sure the size of the scren on this beast but it was huge. The game I played on it was MKII.

It looks similar to this cab (on the left) but as I said has a built-in seat.

Has anyone ever seen of the cab I'm talking about or might even have information on it?

This is the first thing that comes to mind.
The Super Megalo 2 from Sega.

Hmmm... that is very close actually. It was not anywhere near that flashy, but that may be as close as I'll come to finding it. This should help thank you.

MDF seats, yes. I remember them too. Why do I want to say it was light gun associated in my experience, though? I doubt they lasted very long, because they did not seem to be made of good materials. It would be exceptionally easy to make something like this on your own. I totally do not recall seeing anything as awesome as the megalo 2, though. These were just hard "wood" benches in front of cabinets. And I seem to recall seeing more than one machine with these? This was also back in the late 80s when I was pretty young. I almost wonder if it was not an official thing and something that the arcades just stuck on there.

Yes, no cushion just the hard wood there. I'm sure these cabs were used for many different games so the gun game you remember could have been one in the same that I used.

There have been several styles of the Megalo 50 over the years, they were easily the most common "Deluxe" Cabinet through the 80's and 90's. My bro had one in his shop that used to double as a crude TV once in a while.

I would imagine there are still plenty out in the world but the rear projection setups used in their cabs were nothing special. These days the only way to go with those cabs would be a short throw DLP Projector. CRT Projection in Arcade hardware just isn't worth the hassle vs cost Imo.
I spent most of the eighties, most of my life, riding around in somebody else's car, in possession of, or ingested of, something illegal, on my way from something illegal to something illegal with many illegal things happening all around me.
