Looks interesting - I really liked the 2D game graphics at the start but then was a little disappointing when it went into those bland looking 3D graphics all these films have nowdays. I am not that enthusiatic at the moment because all the CGI films seem to follow the same formula - which was fresh when Toy Story came out but not anymore, i dont bother to watch most of them now. I hope this offers something fresh
Impressive they got so many licensed characters in there . I'm guessing the video game companies are waiving their rights?
I'm with RiKo on the disappointment when the trailer went from 8-bit/16-bit 2D to full CGI, but then I saw more than enough recognizable characters to consider myself "SOLD"! I don't watch very many CGI movies these days, but the content here marks a definite exception.
I just got back from Disney World and at the Hollywood Disney they had a bunch of concept art on display from this movie. On top of that they had a full size version of Fix-It Felix Jr on display. I don't know if the cabinet was built from scratch or if they just converted a Nintendo cabinet for it, but I wanted it.
