Hello to all! I've been a lurker at this forum for some time now, but never wanted to join because I figured there was no point on being a member of two Neo forums. Now I've figured... meh! I'm not very active on the other forum anyway; nor do I really have the time to do much on forums now-a-days.
I've been a Neo-Geo fan since it's inception. I have always been one of those kids that wanted a Neo-Geo but never could afford one until I became an adult and had my own job. I bought my AES in 2001 and I'm now looking at picking up a MVS while doing some work over the summer in San Antonio. It's not the standard cab though so if I end up getting it I'll post pics of it. |

Hi. Welcome to NGFL!
Good choice of username! I love Daraku and a few other people here are also fans of the game too. Are you a member at the Daraku Tenshi forum? You wouldn't by any chance be 'tehcno' at neo-geo.com?
I really like the MVS cab picture you posted in the art thread by the way. Pity you just missed the end of the competition but hopefully we can do it again sometime.
Do you have many AES games in your collection?

Ever since I have found The Fallen Angels I use the user name DarakuTenshi except at the DT forum where I go by the name Thor and NG.com Tehcno... so you got me pinned. I was not sure if you were the same Merlin or not but I had made the assumption that you were.
As for my NG collection it's not that big I've got:
Samurai Shodown 1 & 2
Fatal Fury 1, 2, 3 & Special
World Heroes 1 & 2
Art of Fighting 1 & 2
Magician Lord
Blues Journey
Baseball Stars 2
Crossed Swords
And a whole bunch of stuff for the NGPC.
[edit]
Oh I just noticed Reel Mojo is here too.

Hi and welcome to NGFL, DT!
I too appreciate 'The Fallen Angels' every once in a while, a fantastic fighting by all means. But unfortunately a forgotten one. I hope more gamers discover this hidden gem with time and obtain the will to explore the obscure corners of the MAME library...
And your collection is nonetheless quite impressive, are you especially fond of the earlier titles (pre '95 era)? Have you got any favorites among your collection or among the rest of the Neo Geo library?

Early Neo was really my favorite (not that I don't enjoy the later ones as well). As for my favorites yes I do have a few SamSho 1, Fatal Fury 1, Baseball Stars 2.
FF seems to be a strange favorite, but there is something about that game that keeps drawing me back. I guess because it's one of the first Neo-Geo games that I played.

Hey Daraku,
I'm a bit of a fan of that game myself. Although I suck at the game I really enjoy the presentation and style of the game.
Glad to see another NGPC owner, as well. What type of NGPC do you have and what games?
Anyways, welcome and I hope you stick around .

Well, I'll try to do this. All my NGPC stuff is in storage down in Texas (I'm in Atlanta). But I'll be flying there tonight, I'm so excited. I've not been in Texas for a year now.
Anyway....
I've got a Carbon NGPC.
As for the games I've got:
Baseball Stars Color
Biomotor Unitron - one of my favorites on the system
Dark Arms
Fatal Fury First Contact
KOF R-2
Last Blade
Metal Slug 1st & 2nd Mission
Neo Turff Masters (US)
Big Tournament Golf (Jap) x 4 - I did this for the clam shells.
Puyo Pop
Samurai Shodown 2
SvC: CFC - again another favorite
SvC: MOTM - and yet again
Sonic
I'm pretty sure those are all of them.
1999 was a great year for video games if you ask me.

I was pretty sure with that user name it must be you Thor. Glad you decided to join us. Nice
collection you've got there by the way. I like all of those games but especially Crossed Swords. For me the first Fatal Fury game is still a lot of fun.
I'm sure some people here would be interested in your Card Fighters Project website if they haven't already seen it.

Yeah I suppose I could post that in the creative forum. Good call.
As for Crossed Swords ... yup loved it. I'm surprised I don't have Super Spy yet.

Welcome to NG4L Daraku Tenshi, see you around the forums
Mini-Reviews of films I have just watched : http://richwatmov...press.com/
"I remember getting a letter from a schoolgirl who had paralysis on one side of her body. Her mum had given her a copy of Oaarina of Time to keep her occupied in the hospital, and she was inspired by Link not to give up. She started to put more effort into rehab, and she regained the ability to walk again. I realised from that letter the power of games to move people, and the importance of never making a game halfheartedly."
