Part 2 was delayed as I had to go into the hospital for emergency surgery.
Enjoy!
==== OLD POST ====
Hey guys!
I've been wanting to do this for years, and I've got a bit of free time at the moment so I've decided to start!
What? I hear you ask...
YouTube Video
I love doing videos for my You-tube channel http://www.youtub.../AphexDash as I learn a lot about editing and production from them (Like with this video, making my own 3D animation for the logo with lighting, and Chroma Keying the background out).
I'm going to cover from '94 to 2003 on the Neo Geo (As I have nearly all the home-carts), and I was thinking what do you guys think makes a good series like this? I've been jotting down a heap of ideas and at the moment each video looks something like...
- Intro
- Release Info / Little known facts
- Whats changed since the last game (This will be sort of an over view) (Removed / Added; Characters, Systems, etc)
- Gameplay System
- Team Roster & Story
- Video (Graphics / Art Style)
- Audio (Sound Effects / Music / Voice)
- Public Opinion
- Personal Opinion
- Overall
- Outro
I was thinking each video would be 8-10 minutes in length? I always enjoy watching YouTube videos when 1 person/group covers all the games in a series, because you get consistency and a full picture of it.
Any help or ideas you guys may have is very much appreciated!
Interesting introduction. I would definetly be interested in seeing the completed video. I myself am a huge fan of G4/TechTV Icons series and have been wanting to do documentary style videos in the same style. I know it's a pipe dream though.

Cheers mate, yeah I'm a fan of those style series as well. Unfortunately I don't really have a budget for this, so it'll just be me narrating about the games :/

Actually your video has given me inspiration to do a Neo-Geo themed video. I've not made one video that has been dedicated to just Neo-Geo before.

I've taken a lot of Gameplay footage as my new Capture card arrived, and have been making the graphics and effects. Just need to record the narration and edit it all together! :D

Oh I will. My guess is I won't be able to do it until after the summer because of my schedule for work. But I've started working on the script which is half the battle.
Mines up to a 10 pg script ATM. I'm doing mine as one entire video since I'm able to post more than 15 mins at a time. I'm headed over to watch your videos now.
I enjoyed it thank you. KOF 94, 98, and 2000 are my favorites from the AES. So you've made this even deeper than a Retrospective it's part retrospective and part instructional.
Are you planning on going all the way up to KOF13?
