Check this link to DC Junkyard, this soon coming Dreamcast title is looking very tasty check the new footage. Its looking very much like Thunderforce 3 in the way it plays which is very good news.
"There's a guy on Geometry Wars. I can't remember his Gamertag, but his score is far above anyone else in the world, and it makes me think this person doesn't have a life, doesn't work, and is completely and sickly addicted to this one game."
Ordered this ages ago! but it's still not out, I think it was to do with the factory they were using for production closing, but now it's due for release on April 24th

From memory I think this was originally going to be Native for the Atari Jaguar (the one which had those fake boss-battle videos up on Youtube, but there is actually a single level demo up of the real game for Jaguar), but they started developing it again for the Dreamcast.

Well a full 11 months after I ordered it - Sturmwind has finally arrived. Looks nice, the big box has a magnetic seal. Glad I got the LE version because the game cover itself doesn't look that good....
Will update when i have played it - Dreamcast is in attic at moment

Looks cool, but it seems homebrewers love to make shumps... I'm not interested in buying that kind of game anymore. Though, there are a few on the NG that I still want to get.
But... There is no denying the fact that this game is beautiful.

Although it's hard to make a decent schmup I think they are the easiest type of game to program so that's probably one of the reasons. I wish they would make more different types of games too.

Got my LE a couple of weeks ago (along with the cuddly LE kraken!) and it's absolutely awesome. How they got all that out of the humble Dreamcast I will never know. Some of the graphical trickery on display here is beyond next-gen. It plays brilliantly as well, like a cross between Pulstar, R-Type and Hellfire. Play it on the 'hard - arcade' setting to fully appreciate it. Along with Under Defeat and After Burner Climax, one of my all-time favourite shooters.
Go forward for make away as joystick. Push A button for approach of enemy. Break of enemy for A and B. Make high score for break get together - Neo Mr Do!

Hope your copy arrives soon Sensi
Thanks Riko. Unfortunately my order has been delayed, but I'm glad I could at least get a L.E. of the game. I collect shoot 'm ups, I just can't get enough of them. Like Daraku, it would be nice to have some more for the Neo. I only have Blazing Star and Viewpoint for the AES. I'm looking for MVS Pulstar (for a decent price) right now.
Nice to hear it's awesome Kurisu! I read a lot of positive reviews about it so I'm excited to play it. I'm not hyped or have high expectations about it, I'm just very curious.
Here is another homebrew Shump... but this one interests me... I guess because it's on the Genesis rather than a CD based console. http://www.retroc...pment.html
I was starting to wonder if it was ever going to appear, then the Postman arrived the other day with the regular and Ltd versions at the same time. Everything intact and in pretty mint condition, well happy.... finally.
