Thought it would be cool to have a thread that contained classic screenshots from video games to bring back some happy memories. They don't just have to be from old-games, newer games are welcome too
This one is almost iconic

and one of the most influential videogame bosses of all time...

both from the original R-Type (1987) of course

"There's a guy on Geometry Wars. I can't remember his Gamertag, but his score is far above anyone else in the world, and it makes me think this person doesn't have a life, doesn't work, and is completely and sickly addicted to this one game."

OK so call me a baddie and point out that "you shouldn´t promote pics of women getting their asses whipped" and so on...
But I think this is a memorable screenshot of Marian gettin abducted by the baddies right befor the Double Dragons come out from the garage...

great one Priest , really brings back happy memories of Doubl eDragon.
This is my fav moment from that game. where the huge guy (Abobo?) breaks through the wall - also quite near the start . I remember the first time that happened and it was a 'wow' moment.

Later on when the game came out on the Spectrum computer i asked my friend who owned the game if it had 'the bit where the huge huy breaks through the wall' in it and he said 'it did' and i said 'I'm getting it!' (never mind that the game was crap lol)

Challenge of the Dragon by Sachen:

The color scheme/background blew my mind when I first saw it a couple years ago. Not bad at all for an unlicensed NES game (the gameplay, on the other hand, is unspeakably bad )!

Nintendo messaging Wii users to please buy WiiU half a year after release is like texting your ex at two in the morning 'cause you're lonely.

That is unusually colourful for a NES game Tobalman, a lot of them kind of have a dark brownish palette. Thanks for posting
Axelay (SNES) has some very memorable bosses - here is Wayler from the end of Stage 5

I have to go back to the Original SFII. All the Pizza Hut that I've been eating lately really is bringing this one back for me.

Sorry this one I'm sure is SNES but I played the crap out of that one too.

I even bought the Championship Joystick back in the day to play it properly. I just saw this joystick at a game store for $100. I really wish I had held onto it.

lol you love pizza hut. That is a classic (the game) i played that against a friend recently on his Wii and was surprised how short the energy bars are compared to SFIV (and SF3), it seems like you get a few hits in and it's game over. Used to play that on my SNES all the time and was really amazing back then

Actually, I have not had Pizza Hut in years because I hated it so much. I guess I must have just had it way too much and got sick of it. I think the last time I had pizza from there was about 10 years ago. Now I've had it 3 times in the past month.

We should revive the "NGFL members photography" thread. It´s great to see the faces of our members
