Japanese exclusive NGP games
-SD-
There's 41 Japanese exclusive NGP games, and I'm wondering which ones are fully playable by non-Japanese speakers?

The list:

Big Bang Pro Wrestling
Bikkuriman 2000 Viva! Pocket Festiva!
Cool Cool Jam
Delta Warp
Densha de Go! 2
Dokodemo Mahjong Color
Ganbare Neo Poke Kun
Infinity Cure
Kikouseki Unitron (Biomotor Unitron II)
King of Fighters Battle de Paradise
Koi Koi Mahjong
Master of Syougi
Master of Syougi Color
Melon-Chan's Growth Diary
Memories Off Pure
Mezase! Kanji-Ou
Mizuki Shigeru's Ghost Photo Gallery
Neo Cherry Master
Neo Derby Champion Horse Racing
Neo Geo Cup '98
Neo Poke Pro Yakyuu
Nige-Ron-Pa
Ogre Battle Gaiden
Pachinko Pocket Parlor Guide
PachiSlot Aruze Kingdom - Azteca
PachiSlot Aruze Kingdom - Dekahel 2
PachiSlot Aruze Kingdom - Desol 2
PachiSlot Aruze Kingdom - E-Cup
PachiSlot Aruze Kingdom - Hanabi
PachiSlot Aruze Kingdom - Oo Hanabi
PachiSlot Aruze Kingdom - Porcano 2
PachiSlot Aruze Kingdom - Ward of Lights
Party Mail
Pocket Love IF
Puzzle Tsunagete Pon!
Puzzle Tsunagete Pon! 2
Puzzle Tsunagete Pon! Color
Rockman Battle and Fighters
SNK vs Capcom Card Fighters Clash 2: Expand Edition
Soreike! Hanafuda Dojo
Super Real Mahjong

The colour versions of Neo Geo Cup '98 and Cherry Master were released in English, and CFC2 has an awesome translation available, but what about the other 38 games?

While we're here, does anyone know the actual differences between the Japanese-only B&W Cup '98, and Cup'98 PLUS B&W/Color, both of which also received an English release?

Big Bang Pro Wrestling was never released outside of Japan, but if played on a US system the game is in English. It was the last game SNK made before going bankrupt and it looks like they definitely planned on releasing it overseas.

That's the only one I know for sure about, though I would imagine Rockman Battle Fighters wouldn't have too much Japanese to get in the way of the gameplay, being a fighting game and all.

Japanese intensive, from my experience:

Nige-ron-pa
Ogre Battle Gaiden
Party Mail
Pocket Love IF
Neo Derby Champion Horse Racing
Melon-chan's Growth Diary
Memories Off Pure
Mezase! Kanji-ou
Mizuki Shigeru's Ghost Photo Gallery
Infinity Cure
Kikouseki Unitron (Biomotor Unitron II)
King of Fighters Battle de Paradise
Bikkuriman 2000 Viva! Pocket Festival!

The rest should transcend the language barrier. Unfortunately, some of these listed have always sparked my curiosity and seem like solid games (doubt I'll ever learn Japanese in my lifetime). Some of the games not mentioned here (in my post) rely more on familiarity with the genre, for example mahjong and horse racing, than being fluent in Japanese. I believe Gamefaqs.com hosts FAQs for Ogre Battle and Battle de Paradise, although I don't know how comprehensive they are. There is also a FAQ for CFC2. Hope this helps!

That's great news, pity it didn't get a proper English release. It sounds like Poke-kun is totally playable too.

I think Unitron 2 and Ogre Battle would be the most popular choices for translation patches.

There is actually an English patch for Rockman, but I'm not sure how complete it is?
