Well, I don't have too much to say here, but I thought I'd introduce myself. I've read for many years. I used to use the MVS and NGPC reviews quite a bit back in the day. I've been around on and off for quite some time, but I don't post to forums a whole lot. That's why I never joined here. I've read articles and forums here, but I haven't really been a participant.

As far as my Neo enthusiasm goes, I'm probably fairly odd compared to most. My interest is mainly technical. I do like to play, but I always find that my tinkering takes president.

I've worked on MVS projects like fixing cabinets. I once made a thing that would light a LED over the selected game on my 6-slot. It is like a poor man's ELA panel replacement.

NGPC is where most of my Neo work has been, though. Some of you may know of the Cardfighters' Clash 2 English Translation project (see my sig if not). I worked on that.

I have coded for the NGPC and worked on some NGPC emulation (see RACE at and http://psp.akop.o...

Recently, I have created a new flash cart for the NGPC. If any of you remember the Bung unit that had a parallel port linker and a cartridge, this is similar. The one I make is a USB linker called the "Linkmasta" and a 32m "Flashmasta" flash cartridge that can switch between 2 different games. Info about that is at http://ngpc.freep...

So, that's my introduction. Knowing myself, I can't say that I'll post too often, but I saw that the Game Of The Week was Cardfighters' Clash, so I had to speak up.

Cool... Welcome to the forums Smile

I can relate to the tinkering thing as I appreciate most arcade hardware more on a technical level usually than the end result. I love playing games but the hardware is usually what drives me to explore more games. First and last time I tried my hand at programming was with a C64 back in 84 or 85, its definitely not my thing. Always been a builder fixer sort of tinkerer with arcade hardware and cars & bikes.

Haven't been tinkering with much game wise in the last several years other than a few small things like refurbing an older Mega Touch as a gift to my Mom, wiring my Playstation Cab for Jamma and oddly enough helping a friend fidget with those damn ELA Panels he just had to get working, well more holding an occasional beer and laughing at one of my electronic mentors on the last one Grin
I spent most of the eighties, most of my life, riding around in somebody else's car, in possession of, or ingested of, something illegal, on my way from something illegal to something illegal with many illegal things happening all around me.

It seems pretty unlikely that I'd get working on MVS software anytime soon. Lately I've been into hardware stuff more.

If you want to look into AES/MVS development, check here (if you haven't already).

Hey Flavor,

Welcome to NGFL, hope you stick around. I just got a couple NGPCs myself, I'm loving them, great little handheld.

PS: Any idea where I can get a cheap NGPC link cable? Thanks.

Hey Flavor and welcome to NGFL, nice you're presenting yourself! Thumbs Up

I've used RACE in the past as well (that's where I've tested the CF2 translation on), a great emulator in my eyes! Thanks for all these contributions so far!

And I now get it why you're wearing a clock in your avatar, a nice allusion to your nick.
Welcome to the forums Flavor, glad you joined! Smile

Hope you enjoy your time on the forums! Thumbs Up

Thanks for the link Flavor, i havent seen that site before Thumbs Up i hope one day we will get lots of people making Neo Geo homebrew, then hopefully we can get some teams making proper actual games - hopefully at lower prices too Smile

As an NGPC user this bundle interests me.
Welcome to NGFL Flavor. Hope you enjoy your time here. Seems like you're a useful person to have around with your technical knowledge about the NGPC.
Hi Flavor and welcome to NGFL. I think that your interest in "tinkering" may come in handy here, you may be able to assist in answering technical questions Thumbs Up

Used with the kind permission from their creator "Shiny"
and welcome to the mighty NGFL! Smile

It's extremely cool that you have a high level of interest in the NGPC. 'Tis a fine machine. My favourite handheld, followed closely by the GBAsp.

What projects do you have in the pipeline then? Cool
