Glad to be here! First off let me say that I think that Neo Geo is the greatest gaming system of all time and was light years ahead. Anyways. Whats up! |

"There's a guy on Geometry Wars. I can't remember his Gamertag, but his score is far above anyone else in the world, and it makes me think this person doesn't have a life, doesn't work, and is completely and sickly addicted to this one game."

Thanks Everybody. I have been a fan of neo geo games since I was a little tyke. Even when sega and super nintendo hit the scene I knew neo geo was still the standard. I would go to the mall and play the games at the arcades almost every weekend. I remember when they were being sold at toys r us. lol. Being from an older generation of gamers I would have to say that I am more of an MVS guy. |

Does anyone remember years ago when electronic gaming monthly magazine would profile and review all sorts of import games and systems and would have them for sale? The good ol' days. |

The good ol' days. of course i remember it clearly because the 16 bit is golden era in video game history. speaking of EGM sometime they did accurate review of neo-geo games and some time not for example if you remember world heroes 2 review in aug 1993 issue they only rated 8 from 10 in half page only but GAMEFAN issue sep 93 give it full score (100) with 6 page of coverage (also one of the view time we see advertising about it in the gaming mag. also samurai spirit stand the first on EGM10 ten chart but EGM never blame snk about the censority of home version unlike GAMEFAN and the other |

I have a few issues of EGM from the 90s, for some reason a local news agent used to get the magazine in which was odd as it was an American publication and I was the only person who bought it. At the time ( 95-96) I was living in a rough area where the chances of the locals actually having PS1/SAT/NG were 0% apart from me so god knows why the local shop used to get it. |

Greetings nightgamer31!
Congrats on joining the coolest collective of Neo Geo fans EVER!
I loved when fighters and shooters had a fair shake in EGM. Early Sushi-X (Ken Williams) era kicked ass. He had his made-up hand on the pulse of real gamers

Hey Nightgamer and welcome to NGFL!
Neo Geo titles are indeed games you always return to, no matter how good games from nowadays tend to be. Feel free to join in or starting discussions about our favorite 16-Bit console, this site lives from it.
You got any specific favorite Neo Geo games?

It was in the higher income areas where I lived also. At department stores and the mall. If I'm not mistaken, it used to be alot more pages as well. |

Just thought I'd mention in case anyone doesn't already know that there are loads of Neo Geo related EGM scans that you can download at the Jamma Nation X site.
