The NINTENDO counterpart to SEGAs Nomad, I would presume. Seems to be a nice gadget if you´re into portable machines. I´m interested, are you?

Looking good...the website also mentions it plays Super Famicom games. I would buy one, but I don't have any SNES/ Super Famicom cartridges...I have a copybox.
"There's a guy on Geometry Wars. I can't remember his Gamertag, but his score is far above anyone else in the world, and it makes me think this person doesn't have a life, doesn't work, and is completely and sickly addicted to this one game."
As the owner of a Nomad, i can say it is rather a great piece for its time... Its tine is long since passed, and if this think is only getting 2.5 hrs out of batteries, this is no better than the Nomad was way back then!!
I played my Nomad yesterday, cause i dont have a TV, i only have the projectors, 2 of which being CRT are not bright enough for day time use, hence the Nomad is handy for me. It is quite hard to see what is going on on such a small screen, im used to 120 inch, and this is 3.5 inch!!
Another thing though and i think VirtualBoy would have noticed this when he made his comment, if Nintendo hadve made this device, i dont think they wouldve been putting those controller ports on the front like that, they belong on the sides or base!!
Nice conversion, but I'll never understand why Nintendo went with such an eronomically cruel D-pad, and why people must feel the need to copy it. They should've made the D-pad webbed.
Nintendo messaging Wii users to please buy WiiU half a year after release is like texting your ex at two in the morning 'cause you're lonely.

The difference is... the Nomad was made by Sega, the supaboy is not from Nintendo
Well what I meant was that its supposed to be sort of an equivalent to the NOMAD, would have been great if NINTENDO had released this back when the SNES was the badest thing you could get...gameswiseEdited by priest on 03. December 2011 18:08

Both Priest, both!! I own 3 of them at the moment, there are a few games on there that are great. Im not a huge fan of Super Mario World, but i do like the All Stars cart on the SNES, and i do like the Donkey Kong Country games too.
Apart from that, the Mega Drive beat it in pretty much every other way for me.
Okok But back when the SNES was released and the games that you mention they were pretty amazing. NEO GEO wasn´t even an alternative and didn´t have that many games at the time. I bought both the MD and the SNES when they were released here in SWEDEN, I had a hard time to decide on a favorite out of the two.
Both had great games (games are still great), that´s why I think that machines like the Supaboy is interesting.

Oh for sure, if this was a real Nintendo id be looking to buy one!!
I had the MegaDrive for a while before i got the NEO-GEO, i actually bought the Mega Drive of my mate when he bought his NEO-GEO, then a few months later i got my NEO-GEO...
Prior to that i had my Master System 2, wouldve had that for a fair while before i got the Mega Drive.
I remember i bought the Sega Saturn on the Australian launch day, i had pre-paid for it ( had to, they were sold out before the launch!! )
Original official NINTENDO or not, still interesting. I own 2 SEGA TREAMCAST (portable DREAMCAST). This is not an official SEGA product either, even though its based on the original hardware. And still its pretty amazing.
...Just as a bit of comparison

I think the biggest thing that stops me getting these type of things is that its not often they are made on or even based on original hardware, which can be a real deal killer for me, cause since having all this genuine stuff here and i have run a fair few comparisons between the real stuff and the emulators, they are almost all ever so close to perfect, but there is almost none that are.
I do swear by Daytona USA and Sega Rally Championship on the Nebula Model 2 emulator though, but that has alot to do with the fact i cant fit any Deluxe Sega cabs in my home... Hahaha!!

I realise that the youtube clip maybe wasn´t the most representative for the TREAMCAST, watch from 8´40 into the clip. But this is the version of the TREAMCAST that I own, there was a grey inferior version before the black system was released.

I spent most of the eighties, most of my life, riding around in somebody else's car, in possession of, or ingested of, something illegal, on my way from something illegal to something illegal with many illegal things happening all around me.
