Knights of Valour 3
In case anyone didn't already know Knights of Valour 3 the latest 2D arcade side scrolling beat 'em up from IGS has now been released for the PGM 2 hardware. The game looks fantastic with superb graphics. I'm sure it'll be every bit as good as previous installments in the series. There are 10 characters to choose from and seem to be many different pathways through the game. Like Oriental Legend 2 and Knights of Valour 2 New Legend the game is compatible with the PGM 2 card readers.

I think it's pretty exciting in this day and age that a developer is still making 2D arcade beat 'em ups. I will probably buy this in the future.

thats great they are still releasing games for PGM2! i didn't know it was still alive. Watching the first video i thought this game was a versus fighter - with small sprites haha. It looks good, very nice graphics, although i'm not sure i would like the combo-style game play. I prefer it when you have to think a little more about your attacks rather than string a load of moves together (in scrolling beat-em-up)

you can never really tell from a video though what it will actually play like in reality. Do you have PGM2 hardware Merlin?

Mini-Reviews of films I have just watched :

Man, IGS really needs to get connected with a publisher so they can release some of their games on consoles. I would love to play this, but I don't see how that will ever happen.
I don't have any PGM 2 games yet RiKo but plan on buying them in the future. There's a total of five games available so far and I heard IGS are working on a puzzle game too. As for the KOV gameplay I really enjoyed the previous games in the series and given the track record of IGS with this genre I'm sure KOV 3 will be just as good. I like how there's a lot of scope for developing your skill in these games. I've watched quite a few videos of KOV games played by Chinese players and it's incredible how skilled they are. With multiple routes and loads of items and secrets to discover the replay value of these games is very high.

I agree Reelmojo we really need some more home versions of IGS games. With a game like Castle Crashers being very successful on XBLA and also Dragon's Crown coming out in the future on PSN I feel games like OL2 and KOV3 could be fairly popular as downloadable titles especially with the simultaneous 4 player mode. I'm sure PGM 2 games will end up being emulated eventually though so you probably will get to play them at some point Reelmojo.

like Spectral Vs Generation Merlin?...

seriously though, I do agree. Although, I'd say they missed their boat with the last gen really with regards to releasing their games - individually, or even as an IGS/PGM compilation...
