Now, THIS is what a call a suave CMVS...
LIFE_IN_2D
So, much prettier than that tacky wood grain one.

Quote from "shadowkn55" at Neo-Geo.com:

I'll give you guys a little rundown on the cmvs while the website admin sets up the preorder page.

It'll have two tiered pricing. The complete units will be $499 and a DIY kit at $299. The complete units will be fully playable out of the box and are equipped with the latest unibios. The DIY kits require an MV-1C but feature a solderless design. A little bit of soldering is required if you want stereo.

All units come with composite, s-video, component, and rgb as standard. They'll come bundled with composite/s-video cables. Component and RGB scart cables are sold separately.

EDIT: The a/v out is done through a single DIN9. I wanted to have the back panel as clean as possible and at the same time make the DIY kits easy to assemble.

FINALLY, FINALLY!...

This.

This is what I've ALWAYS been talking about. I'm really curious to see how this differs dimensionally from an actual AES' housing.

Would have loved to see the Neo Geo logo on the front though, or at least, a way or doing it yourself. For legal reasons, I obviously understand it's omission here.

Yes. Very nice. I'd have one of these in the future me thinks...

it does look good though ive seen better-looking MVS units. also you cant really tell from the photo the quality of the plastic. and like Ninja says there's a worry it might look a bit plain from a different angle - it's noticeable that angle emphasises the rear- part with the marking ons - rather than the plain front bit. but yes looks much better than the wooden one. im sure it must be very easy to mod and original Neo Geo AES if you can find a modder willing to do it for you.

On the site you can see a frontal view.

This looks pretty nice in my opinion and sounds like a fair price too. This is the first CMVS that I'd ever seriously consider purchasing. Thumbs Up

Just for you, Priest.

Yeah dude, I'm totally gonna buy one.

I'm kinda glad there is no logo on it. I mean as Ninja pointed out, a "NEO GEO" logo would be the only fitting choice, but that is illegal.

From what I can tell from the pics, the CMVS enclosure has a bigger depth (front to back) maybe about 2-3". On the back of the unit the power jack is on the opposite side as well.

Yeah, the whole thing appears as though its a mirror image of the AES, grooves where reset button would be etc..

STE C
yeah no debate thats a lovely job although I agree a NG logs would finish it off nicely.

Very impressive looking! I'm sure there will be a big demand for these. If I ever bought a CMVS I would want one of these. A lot nicer than the wooden one I think.
