Paewang Revolution

I just bought a new arcade stick recently - the Paewang Revolution by Joytron. This stick has been around for a little while but since no-one else posted about it yet I thought it was worth mentioning.

It's the latest version of the Mayflash arcade stick and what's great is that it's the first stick ever to be plug 'n play compatible with 360, PS3 and PC without needing to be used with any kind of adaptor.

I've tested it a lot both on my 360 and also with emulators on my PC. It feels great to use and controls are very responsive. Some people have mentioned that the stick and buttons are a little bit noisier than on some controllers but it didn't bother me personally.

If you're looking for a good quality arcade stick that doesn't cost very much, looks good
and is compatible with multiple systems then I highly recommend picking one of these up. It's also possible to mod the stick by adding Sanwa parts and custom artwork.

There's a few different versions of the stick available. I bought mine from but there's also another version with different artwork.

Looks good, and a pretty good price too! Smile If I needed another stick I'd definitely think about getting one.

I agree it's a very good price Kaz. I have heard a few people say they think the stock buttons might not be all that hard wearing but I've not experienced any issues myself yet. Replacing the buttons shouldn't be all that difficult anyway if needed. I'd be interested to hear from anyone here who bought the previous model, the Mayflash stick, how they would rate it and how durable the stick is.

Etokki also sell the pcb for the Paewang Revolution seperately. I'd imagine you could mod other arcade sticks to become compatible with multiple systems using this pcb.

Is this the one you mean?

Wonder if Midian still has his? Haven't spoken to him in a while!

Yes that's the one I was meaning Kaz. Thanks for the link I completely forgot about Midian's
review. Yes seems like Midian hasn't been active at the site recently. Would be good to see him here again.

I just bought a new PS3 slim console the other day so my Paewang Revolution will be even more useful. Smile
