I got one of these in the mail today:

Costed me $25 (USD), including shipping.

I played some Pulstar, Garou, Puzzle Bobble 2X, and Shock troopers with it today.Verdict : this stick is definitely worth 25 bucks (they usually cost about $50)! It took a little hacking to get it working on my computer, but it was well worth 5 minutes. If anybody out there wants a decent stick to play with and is low on cash, I recommend this stick!
thats a good price inc shipping

Yeah, and it cost me like around $10. (Actually $5.55+$3 Shipping), where it would have cost me $40 if not bought from Amazon. Good deal, that's also where I also bought my replacement adapter for the PC for $15.

So me and a friend went to pick up 2 arcade cabs yesterday afterwork. They were in really good condition and came at a low price, about £133 (for the two). Which must be considered a bargain. There were no burn ins on the screens, the previous owner had recently switched buttons for some new ones. I must say I like the color combination, SNK styleSmile
I´ll probably get some new buttons for it anyway since the new buttons seems to be of low quality. I liked the sticks though.

JK F3 as these cabinets are called were manufactured in Denmark and these are pretty common in SWEDEN. They´re generally pretty reliable and of good quality. I really like the design.

Games that are playing for the moment are BUBBLE BROS and Crime city.

Yep, it's me who painted that one...thanks. I'm going to use model water (a sort of clear resin) to cover the green bits so it will look like a pool of acid or something like that. Actually the painting wasn't that hard...I used only my airbrush and only 3 colors (white, dark green and fluorescent green). An airbrush is great at blending colors, making gradients of green. I left the upper most parts white and the deepest parts dark green. In real life the differences in depth look better.
Maybe I'm going to use an airbrush when I'm going to refurbish my Shmup cab...have to buy a new one for that job, one that can handle car paints that aren't water based...using an airbrush to get an even coat of paint is a lot easier than doing the same thing with a spray can...also it doesn't create as much aerosoles, so it's better for your health.

It's not in my hands yet, but I just ordered an official Sega Saturn USB controller/pad from eBay seller fashion-pulse. For those of you who don't know, Sega now has a peripheral design team called SLS: Sega Logistics Services. Don't try Googling their site, it's in Japanese, and it is a commercial site (not for consumers). Anyway, I bought a knockoff earlier this summer, and I've been using it regularly whenever I emulate. I have no complaints against this knockoff except that it's a knockoff. I got to thinking, and the only proper way to play is with legit stuff. If I'm not going to pay for games, at least I can purchase legit pads/sticks. I don't mind helping out Sega in this way, after all the great games they've made for so many years. It's one small way I can think of to still show support for them. Interestingly, SLS also made the Neo Stick 2, a stick I am very soon going to purchase also (hopefully, some of the money really will go to SNK-P)! If anyone wants to know if their SS USB is legit, send me a PM and I'll tell you the signs to look for.

Presicion25: Thats a nice looking cab, how´s the quality compared to lets say an EGRET2? A friend of mine imported a chinese cab from Mcrown (?) and the quality was really bad and there was big problems with getting the screen to show an acceptable picture. The overall quality of the cab was to pretty lowThumbs Down

Tobalman: Sounds nice, I hope we get a pic of the "stick" when you have received it...Supporting SEGA in any way is automatically awarded with a big -> Thumbs Up

SO TOBAL...
you finally got your 3rd party 'Saturn' controller then? So did it work with your Mac without any problems whatsoever?

I only ask because the controller you have just ordered (if you remember?) is going to now be the same as the controller I own, although colour may very Grin (mine's white!). As such, I had loads of set-up problems with mine and had to use Controller Mate to recognise the pad - which now works perfectly!

Anyway, I can honestly say my SEGA Pad is an official SLS pad - I have 2 of them. I got them in the off chance they would work with my PS3 (for SF4, BBlue etc) and I can honestly say they do work - flawlessly! Thumbs Up

I ALSO HAVE...
other SLS (Sega Logistics Service) goodies too! I have:
2x USB SEGA Pads (mentioned above)
5x PS2 SEGA Saturn Pads (priceless... literally!)
4x PS2 NEO•GEO Sticks (2x original, 1x MOTW, 1x Orochi!)

my aim was to get ALL of the different PS2 Neo Sticks, however, they're pretty damn expensive. I'm still after the Mai 'Ougi' stick and the VERY elusive Orochi Yagami Stick (with the Crescent!)...

Good luck with your future SLS purchases Tobal! I can honestly say that all of mine have been outstanding Wink

Yeah, guys, I feel good about going legit. Grin

Ninja: PM sent re. the USB SS. I won't burden the board with the details (although I think it's a fascinating topic!)... Smile

As far as your Neo Stick 2 acquisitions: wow! I hope they are all seeing regular usage, and are not just gathering dust as a collection? If I remember correctly, you also said you have a Neo Pad 2? That's awesome dude! I wasn't aware there exists a Wild Iori stick. The KOF versions you mentioned are technically part of the "Neo Stick 3" series, because they are designed a little differently than the original stick. I believe SNK-P has gone with a new manufacturer — Exar — for the PS3 Neo Stick 2.

I'm eyeing the PS3 version because: 1. it's much easier to find and is cheaper, 2. it already has a USB output and may work with my Mac right out of the box. Currently, I'm awaiting an answer from Play-Asia.com about whether the PS3 Neo Stick 2 is Mac compatible.

Priest, at your request, I will post a pic of my new stick when I get it.
Joe Bob

Edit: I have researched the matter further, and I have reason to believe SLS is still making the Neo-Geo Stick 2 (for the PS3). As far as I know the Neo Stick 2 has always been a joint venture by Exar and SLS. The boxes of some PS2 versions have both logs on them.
