I've been mainly playing Rage on PC recently. Fantastic game and it's been quite a while since I last played it. The new Scorchers DLC is a great addition. I particularly liked the Refinery stage and the new weapons are very fun to use. Next I'm going to do another playthrough of Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault before Far Cry 3 arrives.

I've been playing Arcana Heart 3, as of lately.

Been playing through Uncharted 2 for the second time. Next up is Uncharted 3 for the second time or Heavy Rain. For short game playing periods I mainly play Sonic Ep. 2 and KOF XIII.

Today I've been taking turns on WiiU Skylanders Giants with the boy, in between helping my daughter with her Lego Friends sets.

How come I've been playing RAGE during the holidays as well, lol. After all I think it is a nice id software title with fantastic graphics, but some parts in the game were utterly repetitive I must admit. That was especially noticeable if you had to visit the same place twice (for example the Dead City), just by taking the reverse level route. The races and all minigames like the Mutant Bash TV were a nice addition too, but I don't think they were really that necessary to the main game after all.

I think it would have been a much better game if it wasn't open world based like a GTA title, I rather would have preferred a linear level design like the one from Doom 3 with a bit more dramatic script scenes (like then when you got captured by the Ghost bandits). But nonetheless it was a solid title with some exciting gameplay moments. I wonder if there are more DLCs to come?

By the way, have you already found the Doom, Quake and Wolfenstein easter egg rooms? A really cool idea from iD. Smile

Retro City Rampage is taking a big portion of my gaming time right now. It's really fun and pretty hilarious too. I remember following the project way way back when it was going to be an NES game called Grand Theftendo. It's pretty awesome to finally be playing the finished product all these years later.

Yes I noticed you were also playing it Murikov. I like how there's so much variety in the game with the racing, mini games and interesting ways to attack the enemies like the gun
turrets, remote controlled bomb cars and wing sticks. I'd say Rage is a nice mixture of open world and linear gameplay. The areas where the main missions take place are all quite linear with not much scope for exploration. I wish the game world was a bit larger though and the different locations were further apart.

Those hidden bonus rooms are a nice idea. I've only visited the Quake room in the Wasted Garage so far though. Are you able to access the sewers Murikov? I bought my copy of the game from Amazon and it was just the regular edition not the 'anarchy' one. When I go to a sewer entrance I get a message 'To access the sewer maps redeem your code or purchase this downloadable content.' Hmm

Edit: I figured out how to access the sewers. The instructions and code were included with my game. I feel a bit stupid not noticing them!

Retro City Rampage and Rage are both games i want to try at some point. Although next on my list is the new Sonic Racers game.

I did start learning to play as Gouken in SSFIV but I have now switched to Juri. I'm pretty sure I lost my first 15 fights! which was terrible really but then i don't practice first (i just like to fight) Yesterday though I managed to win quite a few fights and i feel like i have learnt her basics now Thumbs Up

May not be relevant but Retro City Rampage is now a free game for PS+ users. Downloaded it but haven't played it yet.

Lately I have been playing a lot of Grimrock and Skyrim since there is a ton of good mods out for both. Also plowing my way through Saints Row the Third with a trainer which makes dealing massive carnage in the game infinitely more fun.
I spent most of the eighties, most of my life, riding around in somebody else's car, in possession of, or ingested of, something illegal, on my way from something illegal to something illegal with many illegal things happening all around me.

Bah us 360 owners never get free games:(

Playing the Spectrum (48K) version of Zarch (Virus). I couldnt see any videos of it so i want to make one. It's actually very impressive for the Spectrum, but coming to it from the original 32-bit version, it's a bit of a pig to play! You can't use a mouse and its quite slow. I have remedied that by playing it double speed in emulator (although it's still not as fast even then). The control of the craft is quite approximated too and it's *very* hard. I have only got to Wave 2 so far!

Been playing KOFXIII online today, loosing every single match. But seems like most players online are experts. Persona 4 and MGS 4 have also got some attention. Started on MGS4 yesterday. The play mechanics in the game feels a bit old, but the story is good so far.

that's the trouble when a game has been out a while, most of the people left playing are the dedicated players. Its a good sign that people are playing it though Thumbs Up some games seem to be dead a few months after launch

Just started playing Ni No Kuni. I've also been trodding through Zelda Ocarina of Time because a friend of mine says I should finish it before writing it off as not all that great. It's enjoyable, but the problems I've always had with it are still very prevalent.

Ni No Kuni however is amazing so far. I'm only a few hours in but I'm loving every second of it.
