What are you playing ?

Yup, I tried SH1 as well. I really like it! Scary stuff, along with good atmosphere and soundtrack! ^^ (of course SH2 made it even better ;3) I haven't finished it, so I should get back on it when I have the chance. :3

I haven't played SH3 yet, but I hear many good things. I'll try it after I finish SH2! ^^

SH4 is.. to be honest, I really liked it too. It just seems to have quality's from the previous games.. its a bit hard to explain. Its like the whole series was leading up to this one. (Walter Sullivan reference in SH2, for one, along with many other qualities) The concept is really good too, Walter is a genuinely freaky stalker! o.o;

And the OST is good too! I especially love Room of Angel, its such an awesome song, and really sums up the game with its creepy tone~

The King of Fighters: Orochi Saga. I've been hacking away at the various challenges on there to unlock Artwork and stuff. One challenge left to go...
I've been concentrating mainly on playing two arcade games of late: Magic Sword and Uo Poko. Although I've beaten the SNES version of Magic Sword in the past the arcade version is harder and I'm a long way from being an expert. I'm just trying to play every day restricting myself to only 5 credits per game and seeing how far I can get. There's an excellent playthrough on the Replay Burners Youtube channel which has helped me a lot. I'm seriously thinking about picking up a Magic Sword PCB at some point. A masterpiece.

Ever since I started playing Uo Poko by Cave I've been hooked. VERY addictive puzzle game. You are a cat in a submarine and each stage you must make all the coloured balls disappear. The game has nice relaxing music and appealing underwater backgrounds with lots of fish swimming about. It's pretty cool that there's also a 2 player co-op mode which works very well. I'd say this is equally as good as Puzzle Bobble, Magical Drop 3 etc. and a must for any puzzle game fan. Cave also made a semi sequel to this called Mushihime-Tama. Here's a gameplay video from Xian Xi.

that Uo poko game looks good Merlin. i like the graphics too and the cats. i have never played Magic Sword:( what game comes with Final Fight on XBLA, was that Magic Sword?

apart from fast stiker i have been playing Limbo, Project Gotham 4 (i like it) and a gambling machine called Hi-Lo Chance on the internet, i got up to 170 but then i went back down to 42 ad now i am back on 62. i was hoping it would pay for Fast Striker but thats a way off now. i think i have a new sure fire-win strategy now. it will just take time to win Smile

Mini-Reviews of ZX Spectrum games :
Yes you're quite right RiKo Magic Sword is the other game included with Final Fight. I am planning to buy it and other Xbox live games once I get a 360 hard drive and Xbox live membership. Would be great to play these games with you in the future and hopefully a few other people here. The SNES port of Magic Sword is very close to the arcade original and is worth picking up too. Shame about the lack of a two player option though. 62 is a pretty good amount to win on that gambling machine RiKo. I hope your luck will continue.
i might have to get that then. i find it hard to play Final Fight these days, having played it so much in the past but i def give Magic Sword a go! Smile

i am on 66 on gambling machine now. i am playing sensible now. i hope it will pay off my MVS 1 slot lol

Captain Tomaday and Mark of the Wolves. I've especially been enjoying MotW. Also been thinking of giving Voltage Fighter: Gowcaizer another go. I'd like to do a full run through it for once.

I'll tell you what the f*ck I am playing:

Muthaf*cking Metroid Other M! That's what!!

And I'll tell ya now... it has been well worth the wait! Yet another Stellar Wii title. Man, that little box of tricks just keeeeps on giving.

I might even play my PS3 again one day... might.

Mostly Monster World IV lately. Sadly I'm playing it through emulation as the language barrier would prevent me from enjoying it if I bought it for my Genesis. What an amazing game though! How Sega left this masterpiece to rot on Japanese shelves I'll never know. You'd think TecToy would have at least brought it to Brazil, but nope. I'm not finished with it yet, but it's already one of my favorite games on the system.

I've also been playing Castlevania: Harmony of Despair and Samurai Shodown Sen when I get the chance.
Fate/Extra on my psp.
Dungeons & Dragons: Shadow over Mystara. Really great game. I've been totally addicted to it.

shot in the ass...
I was recently playing D&D:Tower of Doom and I'm really looking forward to playing SOM soon. I'm waiting to play through it with a friend though since I think it'll be cooler if we are both experiencing it for the first time (well, beyond the first level which I played just to try it out). ToD was so good and just from testing it out it feels like SOM could blow it out of the water.

Darius Gaiden. I just never get tired of it no matter how many times I play it. XD

Going to start playing Amnesia: Dark Descent. Freaky stuff!

Ninja Master's: haoh-ninpo-cho and Pop n' Bounce.
PhotoY2K. Merlin got me addicted to it. It's yet another excellent game for those days when you want to take a break from pounding someone's face in on the usual fighter and give your brain a little exercise.

I think you're wrong here. No-one EVER wants to take a break from pounding faces in on their 'usual' fighter. EVER.

Daily repetitive face-pounding action ftw! Grin

I'm going to have words with Merlin re: you're daily face-pounding routine. He had no business interfering! You were pounding faces just fine before he came along with his fancy brainiac games... Angry Pfft

Glad you're enjoying PhotoY2K Angela. You wouldn't think that a spot the difference arcade game would be this enjoyable but with 2 players it's very addictive. We'll have to play it again sometime.

LOL Ninja I bet you would be hooked too if you tried the game. Any thoughts of Third Strike would soon be left behind if you experienced some exciting PhotoY2K action. Pfft

I've been playing mainly Naomi games the last few days especially Under Defeat, Ikaruga and The Maze of the Kings. Under Defeat is amazing. I had only ever played it once before in an arcade. Still not sure if I'll take the plunge and get a DC but this could be the reason if I do decide to get one. The Maze of the Kings has impressed me a lot too. It's an Egyptian themed shooting game and you have to fight hordes of undead warriors in a variety of locations including inside a pyramid. There's also a cool part where you are riding quite fast on a camel with loads of enemies trying to attack you.
