OK so Merlin asked me the other day to post my NEO GEO collection. This is (a big) part of it, but I still have 2 or three boxes with games and hardware. I have posted my Samurai Spirits colllection earlier.

Nice photos Priest. You've got a large number of quality games in your collection. Wow that's a lot of copies of SS2 you've got there!

Some great collection pics in this thread so far. I will definitely post a few photos of my NGCD collection soon.

It was a good idea starting this thread and also stickying it so that it's always easy to find.

You have got to be shitting me Priest, you cannot have a collection like that along with your arcade machines etc and be married.Mine is on my case all the time, and compared to what you have my collections are but a drop in the ocean. You really are taking over the world one neo geo game at a time.

I'm going to be honest here i really don't see the logic in having more than 2 copies of any particular game ie a playing copy and a collection copy but each to their own.

I can't even find the proper words to describe your collection, words like "awesome and incredible"seem quite impotent when applied.Mai

TLO: I think that I have been collecting NEO GEO for about >10 years now. It all started with me finding a loose AES console along with a game (Cyberlip) in an antiques store. The console came with one old school joystick, thats it but I had an SEGA MD powersupply and audio / video cables which worked with the AES as well. Since then I have collected both MVS and AES.

I buy most of my games online, like Tradera as you mentioned. There are some collectors in SWEDEN so every once in a while games reach the market.

Ninja: Come on thats not really a challenge, a real challenge would be to gather the most EURO Kizuna encounter games...or something like thatSmile

Supergrafx: The reason that I have so many doubles of some games, especially SS2. Is that most times when I have bought bundles of games, SS2 have been a part of that. And since itīs relatively cheap and not very rare I have opted to keep them. Maybe Iīll be giving some away now that we have such a thread...

My wife donīt care...since there isnīt one. But the future MRS priest have to accept my shared love for the NEO GEOSmile

I'm sorry, I'm sorry. Just kidding dude!

I like how you've developed your collection though Geese. Sticking to a series and collecting it start to finish. I like your style!

Metal Slug or LBlade you say? I'd be tempted to go for the Fatal Fury series myself or maybe just start with the Real Bouts? Hey, it's your shout... just an idea Wink

Well, the Two MSlug games are pretty expensive for NGCD games,
so I'd like to get those two out of the way as soon as possible.
I just really like the Last Blade series, and there's only two of them,
so it would be quick and easy.

Afterwards, i plan to get the FF and AOF series,
but they're not too high on my list since the only FF game i really want is FFSpecial and the only AOF game i really want is 2.

I'm also thinking about getting Pulstar one of these days,
which is also pretty expensive, but it's only one game.

I'm really just getting started, but I think I'm doing ok so far. My goal is to eventually have every MVS title ever released.

www.malignantpoodle.com/ngcollection.jpg

The best score I had was SSVS. I ordered it from Japan, just the loose cart for $200 shipped. I actually phoned the guy and we talked for a bit before I purchased.

It went from Osaka Japan to Centennial Colorado in less than 48 hours. When it arrived, it was a brand new mint kit!

The board at the very bottom of the pic is a spare 2 slot.

Cheapest I found was Top Players Golf. Picked it up for $8

The Neo Mr. Do is JP label.

Metal Slug 4 came from Italy. I could not find that anywhere until after I had purchased it from Italy Pfft

The Samsho 2 box came with Nam 75 in it (I ordered Nam). Bummer that it was written on.

The game I play the absolute most out of all of these is Money Puzzle Exchanger. That game has more time on it than all the others combined.

Hey...an Atomiswave...nice little system with great games. I also have one, but mine is consolised (I bought it before I had a cab).

Very nice collections everybody...and Priest...Damn, that just surreal how many carts you have...really sick. Remind me to visit you and your games one day when I'm in Sweden...my wife still wants to go back to Sweden, she's been there lots of times when she was younger.

VERY NICE COLLECTION...
Mr Poodle! (of the Malignant variety, of course Wink )

Shockboxed MVS's look pretty nice. Supergrafx also has a collection reminiscent of what your's looks like and I was equally as impressed with his too. It's cool how you can pick and choose the artwork for your games (from SouthTown) based on personal preference. For example, I like the MSlug collage of spines. Similarly, I like the Fatal Fury collage too, but seemingly you have chosen not to go for that option. I assume that there's a KOF one too?

As for Money Puzzle Exchanger, a few members are also pretty hardcore about that game. Boogiepop is the first member that always springs to mind whenever it's mentioned, as well as Merlin and now YOU as well... Grin

Thanks Ninja. On the spines, I had considered going the route of Metal Slug with the other series that are available but then I thought that once the collection was all together, doing so would make that feature look less exclusive. Instead I was opting to have all the carts and just that one section kind of stick out. Coupled with the Metal Slug series being my favorite, that's they way I went.

I'd never played any of the KOF until a couple of days ago. Have to say I love the concept and the series is growing on me.
