What is difference between samurai shodown 2 dog tag and euro carts?
neosnk
Can any one tell me whats major difference between samurai shodown 2 dog tag and euro version? Why euro cart is more expensive? Is anything censored from dog tag version which is present in euro version? Or are they both identical?

Murikov
First of all hi neosnk and welcome to NGFL.

Basically every Neo•Geo cart is technically identical and it doesn't matter if it is a EUR, US or JAP cart. This means also that the "Dog Tag"/early US version of Samurai Shodown II is completely the same as the European and or Japanese version (except for the insert, sticker and booklet of course). I assume that the EUR might be more expensive due to it's higher demand or rarity.

Concerning the censorships, it only depends on what Neo•Geo console you have. If you own a US/EUR Neo•Geo you have to face some censorships in a few games (for example the missing blood in the Metal Slug/Samurai Shodown series or Mai's bouncing boobs in KoF Grin).

If you want to enjoy your uncensored games on your EUR/US Neo•Geo, I recommend you to install UniBios on your console. It not only allows you to deactivate all censorships, it gives you also access to a lot of more settings.

I hope I could help you with that.

You're welcome!
With UniBios already installed you don't need to worry about anything; have fun! Thumbs Up

Yes, of course. Alternative #1 is that you change the language in the ingame options menu or, alternative #2, that you change it in the UniBios settings (or change region code to US/EUR and disable the censorships so that everything really is in English - and uncensored!).

You will figure it out when you're trying, don't worry! Thumbs Up

good work Murikov, you said it all there Smile i think you are right about Euro carts being more expensive because they are rarer. personally i much prefer the Japanese games, but some people like to collect all US or all Euro carts. some collectors insist on getting all 3 versions of each game! Shock (rich B*stards! lol)
