Last Blade: Beyond the Destiny is one of the few weapon fighters on the NGPC. Its a cutesy fighter like all the other ones on the system. It includes a mixture of characters from Last Blade 1 and 2 (woo Setsuna!). Its a stripped down version of the LB games, but its still a lot of fun!
If you're a fan of Last Blade, or fighters on the NGPC in general, give it a try!
Last Blade: Beyond the Destiny
Genre: Fighting Players: 2 Size: ?? (Can someone confirm megsize?) Released on: Neo Geo Pocket Colour
Brief Description:
The Last Blade - Beyond the Destiny, known as Romance of the Bakumatsu Special: Swordsman of the Moonlight - On the Moon a Flower Blooming, a Petal Falling in Japan, is an adaption of both titles of the Last Blade series for the Neo Geo Pocket Color. It was available in Japan on March 13, 2000.
The game initially begins as a normal adaption for the first game. When players finish a story with a character, they are awarded a certain amount of points. As players collect points, they can purchase several features such as endings, characters, or mini-games. Through this process, they can change their game into the sequel and experience different endings during each play. Aside from this feature, fans hail this game for keeping the series's unique gameplay largely intact.
I've had trouble getting a NGPC emulator running correctly on my computer. The games seem to run in fast forward, or slow motion depending on the settings. Still, it's been a while since I tried so I plan on trying to get this game working soon because more Last Blade is always a good thing.
If I ever get around to buying a NGPC this game is definitely near the top of my list, and that's without even playing it first.

Oh my, no posts still? I thought the game was a bit more popular than that..
EEK!
Sorry Cat ^^;
I never really post on the GOTW thread BUT, I will say that I own this for my NGPC and it's great - but then again, pretty much ALL the fighters on the NGPC are great! Aside maybe FF1stContact - that's just OK in my book...

Great to see an NGPC game as game of the week again. I had never played this before but downloaded it today and gave it a playthrough with Kaede. Very fun little game and they did a great job of adapting it to the handheld system. Gameplay has a good feel about it and the graphics and presentation are very nice. I don't think any Last Blade fan would be disappointed with this game. I never realised about that points system you mentioned Cat. That's a pretty cool feature being able to unlock additional content in the game like extra characters in exchange for points. Once I get myself an NGPC I'll be sure to pick this game up.
hey there i decided once again to jojn the gotw discussion
well my opinion of last blade for the ngpc is.....
GREAT
however its not one of my favourites on the system. for me its always match of the millenium or if im feeling weird kof or fatal fury
