Arcade in the making
Nice purchase Priest Thumbs Up

Actually one of my friends came round to play Neo geo not that long ago, he didnt like Dunk Dream (Street Hoop) much but he loved Metal Slug (3, i only had the third one to hand). Its hard to imagine anyone not liking Metal Slug on a first play. I have never played Demon front unfortunately

Good to hear The Rumble Fish was included too Priest. An excellent fighter. I'm sure it'll be popular in Motala Arkadhall.

I've only played DDP BeeStorm a few times in an arcade but was quite impressed with it. Seems like some people don't rate this game all that highly but I think IGS made a good job of it especially since they had, AFAIK, no previous experience of developing shoot 'em ups.

I don't know if you're aware of this site Priest but if you ever want to pick up some more PGM games in the future this is a good place to get them:

Priest, how do you like my mini-cab?

YouTube Video
Tobalman: Well your "cab" is certainly alot more easy to handle. But I think I prefer the fullsize version of arcade cabsSmile

I´ll enjoy watching you review of the I cade thoughThumbs Up

Tomorrow morning me and my friend and partner in the arcade leave for STOCKHOLM. We´re going to pick up a SEGA NEW NET CITY cab and a pinball machine. We´ll also visit some friends...Grat way to end the easter weekend, if you ask me Smile

For those interested: Pics will be posted afterwards...

Said and done...

"Early" morning we set off for STOCKHOLM (capital of SWEDEN), to pick up a World cup soccer pinball machine and a SEGA NET CITY arcade cab (NAOMI). First we met up with a guy in STOCKHOLM who also owned a part in an arcade, he and "Larsson" (my partner in our arcade) traded som pinball legs and some other spares. We also had quick look at this STOCKHOLM arcade, didn´t have the time to try any games though (but it was tempting).

After that "Larsson" met up with another guy ( "Sand" ) to trade some stuff, Larsson got a bunch of MVS games (some complete kits) and the other guy got some of Larsson:s paintball equipment. A great deal on "Larsson:s" part if you ask me...

After that it was on to the seller I was to be dealing with. I bought a converted NAOMI cab - SEGA NEW NET CITY and a World cup Soccer ´94. I plan to get NAOMI hardware and some software such as Virtua Tennis for this cab and maybe Capcom vs SNK. In addition to this I also got a JVC -> JAMMA converter, this way I can play JAMMA PCBs in my NEW NET CITY cab.

After this was loaded into the car we left STOCKHOLM, we stopped at "Daisys" for some nutritious ( Hmm ) food and some coffee...Good stuffYummy With our stomachs full we continued our journey home.

Time to unload the car and assemble the cab and Pinball machine and everything is working Thumbs Up

Some pics of our roadtrip:

Morning - "Larsson" shows that he´s fit to drive the car..."Look I can touch my nose with my middlefinger and still walk straight" Grin

Great acquisitions, Priest! Thumbs Up

Your 'little' Arcade is steadily growing and growing, keep 'em up!
Congrats Priest. Another great addition to the Motala Arkadhall. I've always really liked the design of Sega Net City cabs. Which game are you going to put in first? Sounds like you had an enjoyable trip to Stockholm.
Murikov: Thanks! Yea MAH is constantly changing and hopefully growingWink

Merlin: Thanks! Roadtrips to pick up cabs or pinball machines are ALWAYS enjoyable.

I´ve already bougt a NAOMI motherboard along with a copy of Virtua tennis (1), really love this "simple" yet addictive gamestyle. This setup is waiting for me to pick it up comming monday...

Other than that I wish to pick up a copy of Capcom vs SNK in the near future, another great game which I have played a lot on my dreamcast. I also played this game when I visited LONDON a couple of years ago. My friend (hungry at the time) didn´t quite apreciate that I had to finish the game before we could go and have something to eat Grin

...I thought I would post some pics of my new NNC cab up and running. Today I collected a NAOMI motherboard and a copy of Virtua Tennis (great game).

Tomorrow I´ll hopefully pick up a copy of CAPCOM vs SNK for the NAOMI system. This is far better than SNK vs CAPCOM if you ask me, which you didn´t Wink

More pictures of CAPCOM vs SNK are bound to end up here...

Good choice of game Priest Thumbs Up The Virtua Tennis games are a lot of fun. I'm sure that
will be popular in your arcade. If I had a Naomi motherboard I would have bought that one too. The Naomi system has some great games. I particularly like the fighting game Akatsuki Blitzkampf Ausf Achse.
Merlin: Thanks! I´ll have to try to get a copy of Akatsuki Blitzkampf Ausf Achse, it looks good. I have a feeling its quite rare though and rare often means expensive. Talking about expensive Naomi games; I would really like a copy of Zero Gunner 2, but I have yet to find someone thats willing to sell...

CAPCOM vs SNK is waiting for me at the post office...This is something I have really looked forward to play on the original hardwareIn Love

I have also bought another NAOMI motherboard along with a copy of Guilty gear X, should arrive soon...

A bit off topic...Back at my place

Today I switched control panel on one of my ATOMISWAVE SD cabs. This is a completely new CP with equally new sticks and buttons. I really like how the results turned out, the colours are great.

The pics aren´t in the correct order, but I think that you can manage to decide in which order I did what Wink

This comming thursday me and one of the partners in the arcade (JFG) are going on a "roadtrip" to the Swedish westcoast, to pick up another Crazy taxi cab. It´s a bit too far for my liking, it´ll will take the whole day...

The seller is the same guy that sold Jambo safari to us. The CT cab that we´re picking up looks to be in a great condition and the price was really good too.

I´ll surely present some pics of the cab when we´re back home. But untill the here´s a YT clip of the actual cab:

Today I received a Crazy taxi topper for my first CT cab, just a detail but I must say it looks great!

Today we had some visitors at MAH; "Yohan" and one of his friends. They were doing a roadtrip to STOCKHOLM to pick up a NEO GEO candy cab. And since they were going to STOCKHOLM they helped us to ship an Outrun mini cab that we have been storing for a while now. This way the buyer didn´t have to make the long travel to pick up the cab.

...Yea, early tomorrow morning me and JFG leave for MALMÖ. We´re going to pick up another pinball machine; TAXI. This time it´s JFG doing the buying, but the machine will reside at MAH. JFG have already owned one of these, but sold it some years ago. I´ll post some pics from the trip later (as usual) but this is a taste of whats to come...

Some pics of the actual TAXI pinball machine:

TAXI Flyer:

...Comming Monday, Larsson is going to BORÅS after work to pick up yet another Pinball machine; LAST ACTION HERO. He has also owned one of these before but like JFG decided to sell it some years ago. This is a trading deal, Larsson will give upp ROCKY AND BULLWINKLE AND FRIENDS for LAH.
