Sonic Pocket Adventure is one of the more popular games on the NGPC, and for good reason, its the only Sonic game on the system, and isn't very bad at all!
Sega's first game on the NGPC, it is inspired by the Sega Megadrive/Genesis Sonic games, which was a good idea! The music includes remixes of Megadrive Sonic as well, so that's a big plus. The gameplay is very similiar to old Sonic as well. :3
Its a great Sonic game, and one of the best handheld ones as well! I think any NGPC fan should have this in there collection, along with Match of the Millenium. ;3

Brief Description:
Sonic the Hedgehog Pocket Adventure, or just Sonic Pocket Adventure is a video game in the Sonic the Hedgehog series. It was released in 1999, the game is similar in level design and gameplay to Sonic the Hedgehog 2 for the Sega Mega Drive/Genesis but includes a few features from the original Sonic the Hedgehog, as well as special features such as puzzles and multiplayer options.
Decided to dust off my old NGPC to play it for a while after Cat announced it. I really forgot just how fun Sonic Pocket Adventure was... and when Sonic's games were fun and vintage. Its basically what you'd expect from the Genesis Sonic games which are nothing to complain about.
HAH! CAT...
you finally got your beloved NGPC Sonic as GOTW, huh?
Sadly, I have never played this, but will (and have always planned to) pick up an unboxed copy on the cheap at some point - as I do have a soft spot for 'classic' Sonic games. I'm particularly fond of the Master System Sonic titles. They're totally underrated and VERY awesome. I like how different they are from theyre MD counterparts too as opposed to diluted 8-bit variants. Very cool
Even though I nominated this for game of the week I had never played it before. I really enjoyed the Mega Drive Sonic games and always heard good things about this game. Anyway I downloaded this today and played through the first two worlds. I was very impressed with it. Reminded me a lot of Sonic 2 and nice to see they included the 3d sections too. Graphics are nice and colourful. When I eventually buy a Neo Geo Pocket I'll definitely buy this game.
I just played SPA shortly on the emu, it seems pretty good so far (just as I expect from a Sonic 2D game). In case I would buy a NGPC, I surely would get this one.

Oh, Sega, you show us the way. You are the true video game company of the gaming world. Although we are mere mortals and can't comprehend great gameplay without your assisstance, and althrough we truly deserve eternal Nintendo damnation, you have generously bestowed upon us the Sonic the Hedgehog Adventure game for NGPC. You have allowed us to experience your almighty greatness and awesomeness first hand through this cartridge, and you welcome us to a life of enjoyable gaming. We thank you Sega, and although you were crucified by the ignorant, you will come again in glory to rescue those who have lost interest in gaming and those who have remained faithful to you. You will crush Nintendo at the heel of your foot, and there will be no more sorrow in the world of gaming. Praise Sega, the battle is already won!
