Sorry, but point proven that you're Boosting (Achieving a much higher score by a trick/bug/glitch), and I wouldn't think that would be fair to us players, but anyway, we'll let Priest have his say in this soon.
Here's an example from the MS1 HSC by Priest and Riko that they stated:
Riko : On Stage 2 where you sink the 3 ships. You can jump on a ship and wait by the door where the men run out and keep knifing them. There seems to be no limit to the amount of men, so I would imagine you could keep doing this until your time runs out.
Priest: Thank you for noticing this cheat. So no boosting the score by killing soldiers (in the spot RiKo eplained in his post) is allowed.
(Actually, Killing the Soldiers in the Boat don't give you no Points, but shooting the Boat repetatedly during damage gives you points.)
(Note: There is also one in Mission 5 of MS1 where there's "Trailers" that can't be destroyed unless you're close to them, in which repeated fire grants you points if you're far and not too close, At 0:40 of my Playthrough. Used as an Example, but not to Boost, cause it was a Playthrough.)

I assume that I'm being honest, and not to be wrong, just pointing out the situation.
Ok, no worries if you have doubts about this. If PRIEST will consider your doubts, then I'll be glad to restart my score in this version of the game again and accept my errors.
Yes, I know you can acclaim more scores by shooting the damaged boat on MS1. By that you got an idea that you can get scores by shooting the damaged boat and not the soldiers who spawns on the boat.
But it is not my fault if they didn't notice some tricks to consider on METAL SLUG 5. Since I've notice this kind of bug, and applied a logic of killing myself two times on that mission, at least I gave you and others an IDEA. If PRIEST wouldn't tolerate my concept, I guess I can't do nothing about it Edited by OHA on 19. April 2010 11:40
At least that's the spirit , and Hope you can do this at a Score that is least to where I am and hopefully No-Miss this as I have in previous MS's. Also look at this too. (If you've probably found/seen it before?)
ThereŽs no present rule about using glitches or bugs in our Highscore challenge here at NGFL. I do however think that its a pretty cheap way to boost your score as it doesnŽt involve much skill (mostly) after finding it and realising how to "milk" this bug for a higher score. On the other hand proving that a glitch have been used to achieve a HS isnŽt always that easily done.
I think that our rules need to involve this addition of not missusing bugs and glitches in games. If anyone disagrees with me IŽll listen to what you have to say...
This is partly my fault because I didnŽt react on the HIGH score achieved by OHA on the first stage / mission. I just looked at the final highscore and thought it seemed possible and correct.
It was the The stray that brought this to my attention, thanks
OHA: IŽm going to disqualify your first place in the MSV, I hope you can understand why. But I hope this wonŽt stop you and that youŽll give the game and this challenge another goEdited by priest on 19. April 2010 19:25
Used with the kind permission from their creator "Shiny"
Thank you for bringing this up Priest, We also agreed what we talked about, so I hope his next run is as close to what I have or more, but not too much. (But I also wonder how he gets good in the Previous Slugs? I'll discuss with a PM from OHA.)

Ok now I understand the things happened and as I promised, I will reset my score regarding on this version of METAL SLUG 5 since the bug effects becomes a major reason of this matter.
I gave again a go on this game without applying the BUG that affects the game and yes PRIEST don't worry I admit my error just update myself on the rules as you had implemented. Again, I reupload my new game pics and HSC tally and hope this satisfies the standards:

I don't know why it didn't save my 2nd previous that you may notice along the list. I think my emu didn't save it. But the screenshots are on the gallery part for the third part of my score reference.
If you have any doubts on the records, you may check my screenshot album for my inline progress for each missions in this game:
OHA, is it really necessary just to put "Gaming Specifications" and other things, If its just simple to put the Score as I put it? It's really taking up space. Just a Reminder. Will update later.
I've got to say the skill Stray and OHA have got when it comes to the Slug games is pretty amazing. The fact that you can beat these games on one credit and sometimes even on one life is very impressive. I've never 1CC'd any Slug game before.
