Quick question about HRAP stick replacement
boogiepop
I heard that the proper stick used in the ps3 hrap is the sanwa jlf-tp-8y-sk and went looking on lizardlick.com and saw that the closest they have is the jlf-tp-8yT-sk. They explain that that particular version does not include a wiring harness because it was intended for the Madcatz SF Tourney Stick. So, does anyone know if I can get away with just this or is the wiring harness necessary for my HRAPs OR do you know of any other place I can purchase the exact model from without having to import?

Thanks in advance guys.

Oh, and same goes for the buttons. Sanwa OBSF-30 or OBSF-20? It worries me when they say "for MADCATZ stick" underneath, it gives me the impression that they may not work with my sticks.

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there.

You need the wiring harness if you're gonna get it for any other stick besides the MadCatz SF stick (Standard Edition).

As for the buttons, it doesn't matter, they just said they are compatible with the MadCatz stick.

Thanks man! Much appreciated!
Guess I'll go and look for another seller.

So I assume you are looking to mod a HRAP with full sanwa parts?

Which model of the PS3 HRAP do you have? Cuz I know one of them already came equipped with a sanwa stick I belive, but still used Hori buttons.

As far as i know all the hraps have sanwa sticks and hori buttons. If you want to replace your stick you can use your existing wiring harness. You can use sanwa buttons for your hrap, mine has OBSF-30.

I don't have the stick with me right now which is why I didn't know if the wiring harness is something that needs to be replaced when you purchase a stick or not. And yes, as far as I know all HRAPs have Sanwa sticks and Hori buttons aside from a couple of special versions (like the green ps2 one that is all Sanwa). But my stick needs to be replaced, it's seen its time, and I want Sanwa buttons.

I have a 'green'ish HRAP (the original) with the mirror top... it looks like this:

I just wondered if this WAS the one you meant. If so, that's pretty neat... always assumed it just had Hori stock parts. Even if it does it still feels damn good to me!
