All correct! You are a videogame genius Priest i will need to make it harder next time. As for 4, it's a Neo Geo game and one of my favourites. Quite a sneaky screen shot though

That does look like Pielle behind that frog so I'm sure it's one of the Breakers games. The fact that I didn't instantly know makes me feel like I really need to go play Breakers Revenge now though.

Yes spot on Cthulhu, Well done specifically Breaker's Revenge because of Saizo using his frog/toad attack.

Play it anyway, just because it's amazing!

It really is! I still hate that Breakers Revenge never got an AES release! SNK should really see about getting it on PSN or Virtual Console or something like that.

Hint: Don't bother trying to recognize the character. In this game you create your own. Well since this shot killed the thread for literally an entire year, I'll go ahead and reveal that it's Cocoron for the Famicom.
Five new ones!

I don't know any of those Mojo but I'm going to take some guesses
63 I know all the paintings but not the game, he has a spoon, could that be Art Eater?
64 Airship or Subramine Adventure?
65 reminds me of Alundra (PSX)
66. reminds me of Metal Black on Saturn
67 is that Abobos Big Adventure?, looks like a Wonder Boy/Adventure Island parody!

Alundra and Metal Black are both correct! I honestly knew there was no way I could slip Metal Black past anyone around here, so I'm not even sure why I chose that one.
That leaves these three:
63.
64.
67.

I'm glad I got those, I have never played/owned either Metal Black or Alundra but I've seen screenshots in magazines over the years. Your other ones are too hard

If there is a system that I know it's NES and number 67 is from T&C Surf Design.

Correct! I loved that game as a kid. Looking back, I'm pretty sure it actually wasn't very good.
That leaves two more:
63.
64.
Hints:
63 you could have once got for free. 64, I've already given you a hint.

I think 63 is a free game given out in boxes of Chex cereal. I vaguely remember the spoon, but couldn't place it until you gave the hint. "Chex Quest", they called it. I remember it was pretty decent to play.
Hope that's right.

Correct! And if anyone is wondering how a free game in a cereal box could be any good, it was actually a total conversion of Doom. Can you imagine that today? Buy a box of Cap'n Crunch, get an entirely new game based on the Bioshock Infinite engine? Yeah, something like Chex Quest will never happen again.
That still leaves one extremely obscure game:
64.
You know I love to test you guys with the crazy obscure games like this. Chances are no one here has ever played it, and that certainly includes me. Hell, I'm pretty sure I wouldn't even like it if I did play it, but I remember reading about it back in the day and for some reason it stuck in my memory.

Wonder Project J2 for the N64. I remember reading about the original game in Super Play magazine and finding it quite intriguing.

Correct! And a similar story here as well. Next Generation Magazine had a story about it and I remember thinking it sounded so odd but somehow intriguing as well. Of course, it never left Japan despite the exposure.
So yeah, number 64 was an N64 game... because how could I not?

It turns out that both of the Wonder Project J games have fan translation patches available if you don't mind playing on an emulator or have the appropriate flash carts.

Here's a fairly easy one to keep up the momentum:

A very well designed game, but very hard game. |
