To answer some of these questions for you guys, here's a definite list.

1. No, I don't own an MVS/AES, they're too expensive.
2. Yes, I like Ralf (Glalacticaaaa Phantommmm).
3. Likes VG's, Reading, Editing, and some other stuff.
4. Samurai Shodown/Spirits, KOF, Last Blade/Gekka no Kenshi, Metal Slug, Puzzle Bobble/Bust-A-Move, Magical Drop, Twinkle Star Sprites, and plenty more.

Glad to see you are a fan of the wonderful Twinkle Star Sprites.

The Stray: Getting an consolized MVS with some carts doesn´t cost that much. Some MVS carts are even cheaper than PS2 games. So thats not a valid excuse not to get the hardwareSmile

Welcome to NGFL. I think your next buy should be KOF 98 UM.

Midian
KoF 2002 UM is much better imo. Pfft

But it's only released in Japan Annoy

I've already played '98 UM, kinda good though, but still waiting to see if '02 UM may come out.

Also, I know that the PS2 is still going and such but given a thought that they would realase these. (in a list below besides KOFXII and Samurai Shodown/Sprits: Sen/Edge of Destiny.)

1.Last Blade/Gekka No Kenshi (I and others have SamSho, where's this already.)
2.Savage-Kizuna/Fuun Super Combo (UHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA)
3. Sunsoft Collection
4. ADK Soul/Damashi

Even though SNKP's Site doesn't put nothing much on their site these days (besides the JP. site.), these titles may or may not have a chance of releasing here, but who knows. And I also noticed that they were gonna do the english port of La Petite Princess, but they canned it because it wouldn't be too mainstream. Hey, they recenty relased the SamSho Anthology, why not these.

STRAY...

Welcome to NeoGeoForLife.

Like yourself, I don't actually own a 'NeoGeo' (yet, but plan to some at some point in the near future) and as such I play all the Neo greats via the many ports available (PS2, PS1, SAT, DC etc)

EASIEST WAY... to get around the issue of these not being released is to bag yourself a JP PS2 or indeed a 'modified' PS2. I live in the UK, and like yourself over in the States, we only get a specific handful of SNKP games and compilations (such as KOF00 through to XI, SamSho5 etc) and as such a couple of years back TOOK THE PLUNGE to buy a JP PS@ when I saw SNKP releasing all these amazing compilations in JAPAN ONLY.

2 YEARS LATER... and it seems that these compilations (the majority of them, or at least, the recognisable titles!) are finally getting released by Ignition, both Stateside & here in the UK. For example, I could never have even dreamt that WHeroes Anthology & FFBArchives Vol1 would have ever have even been released here... because God only knows who'd buy them! Surely it cannot be a profitable exercise??!

I HAVE TO ADMIT THOUGH... from a strictly selfish perspective, I was/am gutted to see these come out over here for a fraction of the price of what I've paid over time. I don't regret getting all the JP variations, however, I did enjoy being envied by friends etc and feeling the exclusivity of owning all those awesome compilations, which 2 years ago SURELY were never to see a release outside of Japan?! Guess I was wrong.

HOWEVER... I'd still say that the titles of the compilations you have mentioned above will most likely NEVER see a US or UK release due to the nature of the obscurity of the games. Judging by the US Ignition release schedule, it would appear that FFBArchives Vol2 is either released or due for release soon, which is good news as it probably means we'll see it here in the UK too... before Xmas preferably!

ANYWAY... I hope you enjoy your time on here and enjoy getting involved in all the discussions and banter. I'm sure you'll find it both compulsive and fun.

See you in the forums!

I've been saying this for a while now. However, it's still subjective really to which game you preferred originally I think. (Personally I've always preferred playing the NESTS games over OROCHI saga - aside '95... of course, 'cause it's genius!)

Here; check out my (somewhat unused) dedicated thread:

True, but this doesn't make it any less of a fab game. Surely a KOF connoisseur such as yourself has/will import this game?
