Who comes up with such a bland album cover? However, these Japanese guys can play some really fine solos. Despite the Jenglish vocals...

I've not listened to Devo in a very long time! Very nice.

While I've been doing homework lately I've been listening to Röyksopp.
This one in particular is a song that I could listen to over and over and over again.

Let's make things a bit louder here.

Great Gore Grind band from Spain...Gruesome Stuff Relish:

One of my all time favorites and one of the first Death Metal bands, Necrophagia with a song based on a fantastic Zombie movie, City of the Living Dead (a.k.a. Gates of Hell):

I've taken a break from my vast collection of Black Metal in celebration and reverent honor of Hypocrisy's new album "End of Disclosure". They're one of my very, very favorite bands of all time and IMO, this is their strongest release in nearly a decade which hearkens back to some of their classic, iconic albums from the late 90's. Here's "The Living Dead", one of my favorite tracks from the new album, followed by the official video for "End of Disclosure" :

After I've indulged in this (and the band's entire back-catalog for good measure) I'll be picking up Cultes Des Ghoules' recent release"Henbane" and perhaps the latest albums by Aosoth, Ofermod and Svartsyn, as well.

@Cthulhu: Yep, "City of TLD" is a bizarre gem from the mind of Fulci! Thumbs Up It's just a notch or two below "The Beyond", "Zombie" and about on par with "House by the Cemetery" on my list of Fulci favorites. Giovanni Radice's head-drilling death is an incredible sequence and easily among the most stunning practical-effects achievements of Italian horror cinema, right up there with the infamous corneal-piercing scene from "Zombie".

Speaking of Italian horror, one last note before I wander off-topic: I finally subjected myself and a friend to watching Bruno Mattei's "Rats: Night of Terror" a few weeks ago. Good lord, that movie is one surreal, mind-scrambling offense to logic and rational thought! I've seen many, many obscenely bad flicks in my time but this one still caught me off-guard with some absolutely suffocating ridiculousness and creative decisions that I can barely conceive were of human origin. In other words, a 90-minute train wreck of mind-exhausting stupidity so absurdly crack-brained we felt almost paralyzed, unable to do anything other than sit, gasping, groaning and laughing through its entirety with the knowledge that we were earning some kind of cinemaphile's merit-badge for the experience. Have you seen this thing yourself?

Ah...Rats: Night of Terror. That's one cheesy, absurdly ridiculous and bad movie. Fun to watch though if you're into ectremely bad movies from the 80's, like me.
Did you know Bruno Mattei was serious when he made this movie, he didn't mean for it to be comical. He actually considers it to be a good movie...he thinks Hell of the Living Dead is a good movie as well...

I was amazed by that, too! I guess he managed to convince himself of this so he could sleep at night and look at his reflection in the mirror without feeling profoundly ashamed of himself. You might be speaking of the same interview I watched- weirdest moment was after praising his work early on, he does a complete 180 and virtually disowns it at the conclusion! I've heard similar delusions of grandeur were held by Umberto Lenzi who, though hardly a director worthy of legend, I do hold in relatively higher regard than Mattei.

Been a while since I posted in here. This is a lovely concerto by Sammartini that I often listen to. The slow movement is particularly nice.

Very nice Merlin. I really like the simplicity of the recorder, very pretty sound. Never heard of that particular composer.

Been listening to instrumental rock, again.
