What you all been listening to?
phry
This was a popular thread back in the old forum so I thought that I'd resurrect it from the dead!

Been listening to any good music lately? What tunes have dominated your cd player/iPod/PC? Game tunes? New bands? Have you been digging up the classics?

Has there recently been anything you want to recommend or warn people to avoid? Is there an irritating song on the radio you hear in the morning before going to work/school that just won't leave your head for the sake of your own sanity? Been to any good gigs lately?

Anyway, that's enough of the questions.

Rotating around my cd player are:

Disturbed - Ten Thousand Fists
Jamiroquai - Dynamite
Ghost Dog: Way of the Samurai OST - RSA, Wu Tang Clan and Various
S.O.D. - Bigger than the Devil

An unusual selection for an unusual person such as myself! Grin

(however please, no one be a music snob and badmouth another member's tastes in tunes)

The cds I've been listening to most recently are:

A bit of a Gore Grind overdose.
My arcade stuff

Ten Thousand Fists is a pretty damn good album, and although it isn't a patch on the original, the cover of Land of Confusion is great! Grin (yea, I like Genesis... LOL!).

I am still listening to KSE - As Daylight Dies, but I also wrnt back and listened to their first album, the self titled one. Much heavier and although I LOVE Howard Jones, I still prefer the original singer. Howard's amazing, but Jesse was a better songwriter and his singing voice was better, although Howard is incredible at the growling/screaming part.

Also listening to lots of Shadows Fall on the Ipod, as well as Dio (thanks to Candycab Wink). Kinda going back through some older stuff while bored, and decided to listen to some good old Ozzy/Black Label Society. I really need to whack a load more stuff on the Ipod as I still have a crap load of space left!

I spent most of the eighties, most of my life, riding around in somebody else's car, in possession of, or ingested of, something illegal, on my way from something illegal to something illegal with many illegal things happening all around me.

The Choaniki soundtrack!

A melodic combination of grunting, pumping iron and thruting back and forth, up and down with squat thrusts! The soundtrack was sold more than the game! ANIKI!!

This is the album cover:

For you, the day Bison graced your village was the most important day of your life.
But for me... it was Tuesday.

Everything by the band Tool. It's convenient having a 5 disc cd player when you listen to all of Tool's albums

Soundgarden's Superunknown and loads of Super Furry Animals this week. Been a really tough week at work and that SFA song warning us not to chew gum in bed helps me deal with the stress.

Kasabian??? Nooooooooo dude what the fook are you doing? Pfft

As for Muse, well crag will tell you I'm not the biggest fan of them, far from it. This video however, crosses the border of "awesome" into "complete and utter fucking brilliance" by a very long way indeed. It's ridiculous and brilliant at the same time in fact... got to love all the old film references etc Smile

I actually do like the song as well!

Kaz .. That Muse song is pretty cool, LOL that should be a tribute to Queen Smile I've never been a big fan of Queen myself but they did have some cool tunes.
