Hey everyone, been a while. I FINALLY have internet in my dorm room so I can hit the forums without a 20 minute freaking walk. Anyway, I expect it will take me some time to catch up on all the news. I expect to be posting at least weekly from now on though. And damn! The site is looking pretty awesome these days, Kaz. I love what you've done with the place.
So is everyone doing well? What's going on these days in SNK-dom these days?

Its good to have you back Boogiepop - I think I can safely say that we have all missed you! - Will you be spending Christmas in Japan?
I think everyones very excited about the new KOF game at the moment. I'm looking forward to the new Streetfighter game too (but don't tell anyone because thats Capcom).

Mini-Reviews of films I have just watched : http://richwatmov...press.com/
"There's a guy on Geometry Wars. I can't remember his Gamertag, but his score is far above anyone else in the world, and it makes me think this person doesn't have a life, doesn't work, and is completely and sickly addicted to this one game."

Hey dude, welcome back!!! I was wondering what you were up to, how's Japan, and how are you?
Glad you like the changes to the site! Took a lot of messing about but I think it was well worth it and the forum is a lot better than before! Did you see all the updates on KOF XII? Take a look through the KOF XII thread or see the news updates I have posted lately!

Welcome back, Boogiepop
We have a new section in NGFL called Highscore challenge with various Neo geo games that we challenge each other in.

It's good to hear from you again boogie. Your presence has definitely been missed on the forums. I hope you are having a good time in Japan and would be very interested to hear what you've been up to.
I was playing Layer Section the other day and it reminded me of you because it was you that recommended it to me. Great game. |

Thanks guys for the warm welcome! Japan's been treating me fairly good though I don't talk to enough Japanese unfortunately. I always end up spending too much time with the Chinese students for whatever reason.
@Kaz, thanks for the lank dude! It's cool to see such a (for me) huge update after all this time. You can be damn sure I'll be playing it on release.
@Riko - Yup, Christmas in Japan. Won't be back to the States until August of next year so it'll be a while.
@Priest - High score challenge, eh? I should probably get in on that action when I go back home. My old high score on Money Idol Exchanger (single player mode, MVS difficulty) was 60 and I aim to reclaim it someday.
@Merlin - Glad you're enjoying the Saturn. I've been buying way to many games lately for that system that I should. Bought Langrisser 3 just yesterday in fact.
It's great to hear you guys are still around. Now to see if Atomduck and Shiny are still trolling, heh

Boogie!!
So you are still alive, haha! How's Japan been treating you, anyway? Bust any "Gaijin Smashes"? Haha. Arcades must also be pretty busy over there compared to the US, no?
Anyway, I missed you Boogie . Chat just doesnt feel the same without the 'old gang' :\. We also gotta have some more Breakers(and Twinkle Star Sprites!) matches! I can't wait to show you how good my Sho got! >:3
Enjoy your stay in Japan! And be sure to play some KOF XII! (ya lucky punk...)
... And bring back a souvenir!
Without love, the truth cannot be seen.

Oh crap, your Sho was good enough before! I can't imagine those matches we used to have being any more intense. heh, heh Hopefully my Guile skills I've been honing can translate over.
As for the arcade, yeah, it's fairly active over here. When I first got here, I indulged in some Sf4 but that got old really fast. I'm dying to play Leona on XII now. Her slasher looks unbelievably awesome now. A weird thing about the arcades though is that there's tons of these collectible card game/ arcade games. You play on a table that reads what cards you have and by moving them around the table, you do stuff. Pure craziness.

Yeah, I`ve been dying for some of the old Xbox Live action I once basked in. I`ve tried to hold myself over by buying Saturn games. Shiny, you get a 360 again yet?

Sadly, no... I'm actually tempted to, dare I say it, get a PS3. Just because that Australian fellow in the advert for Little Big Planet make me laugh. It's not the real dog... He was hit by a car! Hmmm, I guess you had to be there. |
