Ha ha, thank you Merlin Smile It is indeed one of the best games in my collection! I try to learn through the game using the Dwarf. This board is on battery because it's the only way to enjoy the game without missing Hydra's body and red Dragon's body bugs. Desuicided boards have those sprites missing.

I will definitely buy three wonders in the future Wink its on my wish list although I have paused my game purchases

I should also play as the dwarf more often. Definitely the hardest character to play as due to the short range of his attacks.

Yes I remember you telling me about the graphical problems if the game is desuicided. Thanks again for letting me know about that. My JPN King of Dragons still has a suicide battery but still works. Another problem is there doesn't seem to be a patch available for the JPN version and I wouldn't want to change the region.

All region patches have the bugs. You need to keep it with the battery for ever. If it dies you can find someone to resurrect it again for you using "Eduardo's Kabuki programmer" device and put a new battery again. This is now possible due to reverse engineering of CPS1! Now we can have them original for ever!

Great soundtrack there! I still enjoy the original soundtrack though...I have a hard time playing with the Dwarf btw

Green, in the future I can certainly help you out with Three Wonders. I own the PCB, so when the game has been played properly, I can sell it to you.

That's great news that there's now a better way of getting suicided boards working again! I didn't know about that.

What I meant was that if you have the Japanese version and have it desuicided in the normal way, then in addition to the graphics problem you also have to convert the game to a different region.

@Sensi - None of my business but I'm a bit surprised you don't want to keep the lovely Three Wonders in your collection!

About the desuicided Japanese version, you don't really have to convert the game to a different region, there are Japanese patches arround so you can have a desuicided Japanese region 910805 King of Dragons. A year ago I had a King of Dragons with the Japanese patch. If you don't mind the missing sprites on 2 bosses and some corrupted end credits, it plays fine.

I have searched a lot about King of Dragons and it's patches. There are some people that claim to have a patch without bugs but I can't find those people anymore online.

What I don't know is if there's a difference between version 910805 and 910910 other than the language.

Thanks for the info Green Beret. I was just going by what I read in the notes on the Dead Battery Society page. Seems like that page needs an update. Anyway thankfully it doesn't matter any more because of the new solution to this problem. Joe

I just got Banshee for my Amiga CD32. I've decided to get some decent games for my CD32 and give it another try (I think it is the worst console I have ever owned!)
